It's purely for fun, mostly target practice out in the woods. My username should give away my usual interests; I'm not really into firearms or hunting. Fishing is a different beast entirely. You have to get in their world to catch them while staying alive—or at least, diving in.

Hunter & Co. in Chicago has a solid selection of crossbows ranging from 200-$667 , specifically between 50 and 250 lbs. Go for it! I recently picked up a 150 lb model and I'm quite pleased with it. Just remember, it's a lethal weapon. You need to be careful not to hurt yourself or anyone else; it can punch through a 1.5-inch board from 30 meters away. Imagine what that arrow does to a person at that distance.
