Haha, honestly, I have no clue. Probably just some friend or acquaintance of theirs, I guess. 😁

So, after months of voting and all the chaos of the project itself, the band Oni actually pulled it off at the CMC demo contest. They managed to fight their way through 200 different bands just to hit the finals—which went down back on October 10th at the Boogaloo club in Washington, D.C.—and they ended up taking the whole thing by winning the fan vote. Their prize was some shiny new gear, too. 😉 I guess I’m just feeling a little vindicated because I believed in them from day one, basically acting as their unofficial PR agent here, and now I get to write about them being the absolute best demo band in America. 🙂 😉

Anyway, here’s a few clips of them in action:

They also have this other track called desert, but I couldn't seem to track down a working link for it.

They're currently busy getting everything ready for their debut album.

Come on, people, show them some love!! 😁👍

Glad to see at least one person actually showed up. 😉

Here’s my little plug. 😉

The band Oni, hailing from San Diego and Pittsburgh, are—let's just say
basically locals since they're from the region, total Americans through and through. 😉

They're part of that Demo band project over on CMC,
already shot a music video, and they're planning a little tour across the US once things really take off.

I don't hang out on this forum all that often, but when I feel like talking—well, I post a little bit.
I'm back because I want to start a thread here that hopefully becomes a permanent thing, and I'd love to get as many people involved as possible. 😉

Basically, there are so many young indie bands out there just trying to build their careers,
but they really need more eyes on them. You know, so people actually hear their stuff,
listen to the music, and then spread the word to others. 🙂
I was thinking you guys could drop links (like MySpace, for instance) where you can find
info on the bands you want to promote, or maybe just write a little something about them yourselves. 😉

I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks about this, and I'm hoping the admin will be cool with it. 🙂

Take care, everyone 🙂
