Don't you think you've basically thrown a bone to a pack of dogs starving for a cure? If you actually shared your treatment methods with the world, success would be a given... so why haven't you done it yet?
It seems you think we're all just blind, which is why we're losing this fight. I won't use the phrase "we are dying" because I'm too young for that—I have a small child and a husband battling an inoperable glioblastoma—so of course, I'm "blind," seeing nothing beyond what my oncologist tells me.

You did such an incredible job representing the Association on NBC!!!! Huge congrats—you were truly persuasive, and I really hope you see a massive surge in business once those membership cards start rolling out!

Has anyone actually visited Mayo Clinic since they went through those oncology "reforms"? We need to head in for a follow-up, but we aren't even sure which doctor we'll be seeing—they didn't give us any specifics when we booked the appointment. Does anyone happen to know who specializes in brain tumors there... and if this new departmental split is set in stone despite all the complaints from patients? Thanks.

brightgardener8, I hope my experience can offer some comfort here—my husband also had a really rough time dealing with Temodal, especially during those last few cycles...
ZOFRAN tablets go for about $93 and I’d definitely suggest them; my husband made it through every single chemo cycle thanks to Zofran. To help get his blood counts back up, he used this Taheebo tea you can find at health food stores for around $12.

For us, the only issue lately has been some occasional dizziness. His last dose of Temodal was back in August. Since then, everything has been quiet—which is exactly what we’re praying stays that way for as long as possible... We've been doing a lot of walking, staying away from the city whenever we can, and just trying to make the most of every single day—lots of laughter, too. He even managed to bounce back from chickenpox that he picked up at daycare, which honestly surprised me given how well he handled it. I read through all of your stories every day; you guys are such a huge source of strength for us. Even if I don't post often, just know I'm here every day, following along with everything...

I’m checking back in after being away for quite a while—I went through a depressive episode, but things are feeling a bit more stable now. My husband and I are currently finishing up our tenth cycle of Temodar therapy, and he’s about to start magnetic therapy next... I was wondering if anyone here knows how long the Temodar treatment typically lasts? Is there a standard number of cycles, or is it just something doctors decide on a case-by-case basis? It’s been a year since his diagnosis, and I've basically been riding this Temodar wave right alongside him the whole time...
