I think you'll be in the hospital for maybe a day or two, the stitches just dissolve on their own while you're showering, there’s no major pulling or pain once things settle down, and all that stuff. Just go for it.
It's definitely worth doing either way—mostly for hygiene reasons, plus let's be real, it's becoming more common and women tend to prefer it.
