Hey everyone, I have a quick question for the group. I’ve been dealing with psoriasis on my scalp and body for a while now, but recently I’ve started getting these dark patches on my neck that are just incredibly itchy. Has anyone else gone through something similar? I’ve already put in an appointment with a dermatologist, but since the healthcare system here can be such a slow-moving bureaucracy, I feel like I’m going to scratch myself raw before I even get seen. About a year ago, I picked up some Psorex ointment and some Life Honey, but I honestly can't bring myself to take the honey. Does anyone have any good tricks for masking the taste? Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn...🙂
Best regards..
brightangler8 said:So, that could potentially be it... which sounds wonderful😠 but honestly, it’s been the exact same story for two years now, and I just can't seem to see any upward progress. It clears up where I can apply treatment, but then there are those spots I simply can't reach—like on my scalp, since getting cream through my hair is such a mess. I’ve started to suspect that this psoriasis might actually be psychosomatic; it feels like it's deeply tied to stress and all that.😢
And you aren't wrong about the stress part;
having my first baby has been anything but relaxing. When it was just limited to my scalp, I tried to reassure myself that at least it was in the best possible spot, even if things were feeling chaotic, but now I’m starting to panic because of the thought of having to undress. I really ought to start using those creams we mentioned earlier, but they have such an awful odor that I’m honestly not sure how I’ll manage to deal with it. Plus, $217 is quite a lot to handle......
Here’s a situation that feels brand new to me, even though I know I’ve been here before regarding psoriasis. My psoriasis vulgaris initially showed up on my temples and in my ears, but after giving birth, it started flaring up in all the usual spots. Following some advice, I’ve started using honey, Psorex cream, and a lotion. Now, I’m wondering if anyone else has experience with these products, or if you might have some tips on how to get the best possible results... Since I really need to avoid direct sunlight right now, would it be wiser to just hold off on the treatment until autumn? It's a bit of a struggle because I have to go out in the sun to keep my little 15-month-old from losing his mind being cooped up indoors. Thanks!
I was wondering, what actually happens when we take a solution back to the pharmacy? Are we forced to just buy a completely different brand, and if so, which one would you recommend? Also, is there any kind of refund policy in place? On a side note, I’ve been dealing with a really nasty eye infection for the last week or so—maybe it was caused by the solution itself—and honestly, it makes you wish the healthcare system here in the States worked a little differently...😕
