Both will make your experience here much smoother, save you from unnecessary headaches, and ensure people actually take your contributions seriously.

Thanks, dear, but I’ve already gone ahead and read all that...
And honestly, why should anyone take me more seriously "just because" I took the time to read the user guidelines? 😕
Man, I haven't heard such old-fashioned nonsense in ages.

Anyway, thanks for the info and take care.

Good grief, is this really happening again? Just another person whining about how the RID moderators are out to get them. 🤦
Yeah.
mellowraven22:
Yeah, the moderation over at RiD was pretty messy, and I suppose you’ve all just grown accustomed to that kind of heavy-handed environment.
Who's actually at fault here?😕

It seems like nobody bothers to actually read the rules around here, mostly because there isn't any real pressure to follow them, so everyone just does whatever they feel like. 🙂
Just because you haven't bothered to read the rules doesn't mean you're exempt from knowing how to act with basic decency.
It seems like some people have already gone through them and just don't care anymore.
It also seems like the new moderators have spent quite a bit of time digging through the archives of RiD.

I’ve tried hunting for answers using nothing but a candle for light, and more often than not, I just end up giving up. It feels like trying to swim through a swamp; you're constantly fighting your way through endless pages of chat logs, cluttered threads about corporate buyouts, and the sheer, malicious trolling from those little cliques that seem to run the place.
That's exactly right, but it really makes you wonder—who is actually responsible for letting things get to this point?
Someone’s going to take an entire arm just by using one little finger, isn't that right?😕

There are going to be quite a few significant changes coming to the RID soon, and my sincere hope is that these shifts will transform the platform into a much higher quality space for everyone involved. Some people are inevitably going to embrace this new direction and find it much more appealing, while others might find that things aren't exactly going their way.
It’s one of those "wait and see" situations where we just have to let the dust settle and see how things actually play out.

The whole tantrum routine where people get all worked up and sulk because "other kids won't play the games you suggested"—games that you personally happen to love—is honestly exhausting. If that's the case, I'd suggest saving those specific interests for the arcade or some other venue where they actually fit.
That kind of thing doesn't really concern anyone here on the forum.
If this isn't anyone else's business, I don't see why there's such a desperate need to feel compelled to justify yourselves.😕

It’s honestly quite fascinating how some people feel this overwhelming compulsion to stick their noses into everyone else's business, acting like they need to be the lid on every single pot in the kitchen.
That’s all I have to say on the matter.😁

But does anyone actually exist like that?

I haven't been able to see much on the RID lately, mostly because parenting has just completely wiped us out.😂

Look, most of us aren't here to break the rules or spend our time trying to take subtle, passive-aggressive digs at one another—we all know how that goes when you start reading between the lines of those "concerned parent" types.

I mean, seriously, look at what they just did by shutting down those threads. 😕
I honestly don't get why they didn't just run a poll about locking down certain topics or why there wasn't any heads-up that the rules for getting banned were suddenly becoming so much stricter. It feels a bit sudden, like everyone was posting whatever they wanted without facing any consequences, and then all of a sudden, the mood shifts and everyone starts losing their cool because the goalposts moved. It’s like we went from a free-for-all to a strict regime overnight without anyone being told the game had changed.
You guys are just swinging wildly from one extreme to the other; first you were all being far too soft, and now you've suddenly swung the pendulum way too hard in the opposite direction.🙄
I mean, honestly, who on earth is going to command the rain to stop when it starts pouring like this? It feels like someone's just being moody for the sake of it—it’s almost as if the weather is stuck in some sort of hormonal cycle, though I suppose eventually the forecast will catch up and realize how much it's overreacting.

Honestly, it’s like everyone expects forum users to have nothing better to do than sit around reading through all the rules, especially parents who barely have a second to breathe.
Just run a poll and you'll see—half the people here don't even realize they exist...
(from some random PDF)

It really makes a person pause and reconsider a lot of things...🙄
And yet, there isn't even an answer from a doctor... hm... how does that work? Maybe I've just become senile and dim-witted, but no, no, no, I only got worked up because I call my mother and parents, so thanks for noticing!
Yeah, sure, it just gives someone plenty of reason to wonder how "certain" people manage to do a job they clearly "don't know" how to do.🥳

I honestly wonder what kind of logic the Admin is using when making these choices.

🤔 I mean, are we even here as users just to act as deputies and police everyone else over some brand-new rules?😲

btw.
I have a feeling the mods would suddenly find themselves facing a massive power outage or just staying offline entirely if they had actually put out a top topic announcement about introducing such drastic changes in the first place.🤷
And let's not even get started on this whole business of warnings and strikes... basically, once you've been warned twice, the third strike hits and there's no more leeway, right? It seems like some of the mods just haven't gotten tired of handing out warnings yet.🤣
But now, all of a sudden, they've decided it's high time to enforce some order.🙄 Where on earth were you all a few months ago?😕

It feels like a waste of energy to even complain or vent... one group rushed into this headfirst (though they'll never admit it), while others—and there are definitely some—ignored the rules and are now catching heat on their third strike. Unfortunately, that's just how it goes.
You should try applying some
POLAR ICE gel—you can grab the blue box at any CVS or Walgreens—to the upper part of your back.
It feels like a bit of a sting when you rub it in deep, but once the circulation kicks in, you’ll feel incredible by morning.

(At least, that’s how it worked for me.) I relied on it during my first pregnancy, and honestly, it’s been a lifesaver during this second one too.

Probably something going on with my neck or spine...
I’ve been telling everyone for months now that that fancy Tempur-Pedic mattress everyone raves about is way too soft for me 👎

My doctor actually told me that the numbness in my hands was caused by an iron deficiency, and honestly, ever since I got my levels back up, the tingling hasn't been nearly as bad.
During my first pregnancy, people kept making comments about whether I’d put on too much weight,
](as if all that extra mass just magically settled in my hips, making me look wider than a heavy-duty storage cabinet while my belly stayed barely noticeable)😁-

honestly, I wanted to snap back at them—back when I wasn't even married yet, so I didn't have to worry about being polite—and tell them that my husband's family has a strict rule against dating anyone under 200 pounds, so I basically had to bulk up overnight just to qualify.😁
