My dad is fighting tongue cancer. Ten days ago, the doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center basically gave up on him, labeling it terminal. He’s already been through the wringer with chemo, radiation, and then more chemo.
He’s down to about 130 pounds at 5'10", and the tumor has completely taken over his mouth—it’s actually protruding because he can't even close his lips anymore. Obviously, eating is a nightmare; everything has to be pureed into a liquid just so he can swallow it. I can't even wrap my head around the sheer agony he's going through right now.
Thankfully, he still has some mobility left. To manage the pain, he's relying on Analgin or Novalgetol, which are essentially the same thing just from different manufacturers.
Since the medical establishment has pretty much written him off, we decided to start him on Segidrin. Has anyone here actually used this stuff before?
He'll be on Segidrin for a seven-day course.
