Looking for a good, affordable editor!

I’ve never actually done any freelance editing myself, and honestly, looking at the rates charged by various agencies and firms almost made me pass out from sticker shock😲. I don't know anyone in the industry, and I have absolutely no idea how pricing typically works... Does anyone here have experience with this or perhaps a recommendation?🙂
I was a literature major
so it really depends on whether you need a rigorous, academic line edit
or just a quick polish to ensure everything flows nicely and makes sense
From what I can gather, your spelling and grammar seem perfectly fine as is.
Let me know if you haven't found someone yet. 👍
