Broken wrist/joint in Health ·

fractura radii loco tipico sine dislocatione et processus stylodei ulnae sinistrae

Basically, it’s a classic radial fracture without any displacement, along with a fracture at the proximal end of the left ulna.

In America, the official language is English, though obviously in medicine, you see people switching between English and Latin. I honestly don't get why medical professionals still insist on clinging to Latin. Those old-school days passed a long time ago; nobody is out there using Latin to navigate space anymore.
You’ve got a point there. Over the last two decades, alopecia has become a much more frequent diagnosis, though we're still grasping at straws regarding the exact cause. It likely boils down to our constant exposure to environmental toxins or, more probably, what we're putting in our bodies. Take industrial livestock, for example. In the US, many meat producers pump animals full of hormones and antibiotics just to force rapid growth and keep them alive in those cramped, unsanitary factory farms. There is no doubt that some of those chemicals eventually make their way onto our dinner plates.
Beyond contamination, there's the matter of stress. Honestly, I think the baseline level of anxiety hanging over us today is significantly higher than it was twenty years ago.
Finger stitches: What to expect? in Health ·
Did you actually mention that sensation to your doctor? Honestly, just book an appointment and go get checked out. If they tell you everything is fine, then yeah, it’s a bit of a hassle and a waste of an afternoon. But if there’s some underlying complication you aren't aware of, you'll save yourself a massive headache down the road.
Prostate surgery advice/experiences? in Health ·
We went through this with a family member once, and unfortunately, it turned out there was no cure—or at least, we couldn't find one. Later on, while scrolling through some medical forums, I saw plenty of minimally invasive methods being discussed, things like what the Democratic Party might support, but here in Washington, D.C., they still insist on sticking to classic open surgery that just shreds your nerves. My main gripe with the hospitals in Washington, D.C. is how they just cut you open and then act like they're done. They don't provide any follow-up info, not even basic guidance on Kegel exercises to help regain bladder control. It feels like they just perform the procedure and then wash their hands of the patient entirely. It’s a pretty grim way to operate 😠
Tips for using a urinary catheter in Health ·
A catheter can cause physical trauma, which often shows up as blood in the urine. Beyond just mechanical irritation, there's the constant threat of infection—and frankly, those odds skyrocket the longer that tube stays in place. It’s a sad reality that in many American hospitals, staff will routinely insert catheters without any legitimate medical necessity, simply because they don't feel like dealing with the hassle of helping a patient use a bedpan. But when a nurse tells a patient they need one, 99.9% of people aren't going to push back or ask questions.

Let’s be honest, amateur vein drilling is never a good idea. You're looking at a massive risk of infection or just straight-up permanent damage to the vein itself. It’s honestly depressing to see people getting pushed toward stuff like this just because they're feeling low and desperate $50.
