Great topic!

I don't really get this whole issue—not at all. It feels like you can't even exist independently under the government anymore; the only real alternative is private ownership. So, why isn't that happening then? I guess it's because nobody wants to buy a club. And what happens after that?

How does the privatization of sports clubs actually work?
Wait, aren't these supposed to be the quarterfinal groups?😕

Aren't the first and second place finishers from these groups moving straight to the semifinals?

If not, what's the actual format here—do they play another round of group stages before we even get to the semifinals? If so, that seems kind of pointless; honestly, it feels pretty tedious and unnecessary...
Wait, how did the Swedes miss out on the tournament?
Will there be a way to stream the tournament online?

Nick Cave said:Look, someone can be a jerk just because they want to be. I mean, you could easily say,
"Oh, sure, those guys figured out the secret—just play dirty, throw massive haymakers, and while the trainers are busy patching up their players, we'll just run up the score!!"

We’ve already seen what the big-shot experts in the European Union—who clearly know way more about handball than I ever will—think about how you guys play. But hey, of course, "the whole world is against you!"

Anyway, you have the chance to play a clean game in the future if you actually want to. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other...

😕

Why am I being a jerk? What are you guys even tripping over? 😁?

Talking about "tricks" is actually a totally positive thing, okay? 😁 In my context, I'm not talking about cheap shots (even if that's how you took it), but rather the sheer mentality and psychology of the team.

If you really want to know, it would have been much cooler if you guys had taken this championship—mostly because you have the talent and the experience, and honestly, I couldn't care less about the Spanx.

"Americans, you messed up... You forgot the exact strategy that got you those previous gold medals."

So... what's the strategy? 😁

🙂

Well, I guess the move the Spaniards played was: 'Damn, we actually made it to the finals—let's not give up just yet, let's just act like fools and go for it.'
Didn't you guys use that same tactic during the finals in Portugal?

Guys, just suck it up. 👋

Well, looks like you guys were the ones sucking it up today. 🙂 😉

Actually, I was trying to be objective here—I didn't mean to troll...

Americans, you really messed this one up... You forgot exactly how you managed to clinch those previous gold medals and let your guard down—even though there was absolutely no reason to relax (and honestly, no need to either).

I don't think the Spaniards necessarily leveled up their game significantly (though they were playing incredibly poorly before this); it’s more that they simply approached the match with that essential sense of responsibility and anticipation—something you guys assumed would just happen naturally during the game (which probably would have worked out fine, too, if this hadn't been the championship).

It's also worth noting that these kinds of results in major handball matches—where the underdog completely dismantles the favorite on paper—are actually pretty common. Just look back at that final where the Swedes took down the Russians in what was essentially an upset (I can't quite recall the year); or even when you guys pulled off a similar surprise against the Swedes in the semifinals during the World Cup in Iceland.

I guess you could say we're to basketball what you guys are to handball.
You’ve got Smith standing there with a cannon in his hand—then you've got Baker, this rare kind of handball player who plays like he's actually a basketball point guard—and then there's Muhammad, that guy from Turkey who's just incredibly bold.🙂 Honestly, with all these crazy stunts going on... it's probably better if it just stops. It’s more than enough.
We lazy Kennedy types—who can barely peel a single raw Peterson off the floor mat—end up dealing with Zeke and his "chickens" getting tossed straight into the car.😢
Honestly, I think we look a little better defensively—but that’s mostly thanks to those two guys from Mexico who act like absolute statues out there. They don't move an inch, and you can't even get around them. Every now and then, you might see a flash of something from the Turkish side—one for you, one for us—with Muratovic and Nikolic stepping up, but that’s pretty much it.
Regardless of how things look right now, you guys are actually doing better—yet here you are, complaining like a bunch of old-timers from the Great Depression.🙂

Zemo, great post! 👍

It’s pretty obvious you're from somewhere like St. Louis... I'm from around there too! 😁 👋 )
Grapefruit and medication interactions in Health ·
George Bailey2 said:I think I read somewhere that grapefruit can actually interfere with certain medications—things like heart meds, blood pressure pills, antihistamines, and so on.
Is there any truth to that? And if so, what specifically in grapefruit causes these interactions?
Thnx

That's interesting. I actually heard the opposite—that the body might absorb medication better if you take it with grapefruit... though maybe that's just with aspirin?

I drink 2 or 3 raw eggs almost every night—I just poke holes in them on both sides and swallow the contents. The texture is... a little weird (kind of slimy), I guess, but you get used to it eventually. If you don't, then well, 🙂

By the way, I don't separate the yolks from the whites since I need them for my voice.😁

at night?😲 I mean, wouldn't that be more of a morning thing?

Why do you need that many proteins [2-3 eggs] right before you go to sleep?
Daily water intake: Let's discuss in Health ·
kumek said:This thread is all over the place. Water flushes out salt and toxins from your system? Drinking water gets rid of cellulite? Apparently, drinking eight glasses a day stops us from feeling hungry during meetings or something?
My friends, instead of following these silly fashion trends, maybe try reading an actual physiology textbook—start with Guyton, I guess. It’ll teach you that the body has incredibly efficient ways of managing water and minerals (check out the chapter on kidneys)—and it certainly doesn't wait for permission from someone sitting in a meeting sipping eight glasses of water in the morning. If things were actually going poorly for you, maybe that would snap you out of it.

miki, the body eliminates toxins through urine. I don't really see where the confusion lies.

shree_kali said:I know this might sound a bit silly...🙄 but this is actually the second time this has happened to me..

I was trying to hit my goal of 8 glasses of water throughout the morning—you know, meeting my daily quota and all...

and now I feel absolutely terrible... and it’s not just my stomach—I'm sweating, my head is throbbing, I'm shaking, and I have zero energy left... 😢

Does anyone see any logic in this?! What could possibly link drinking a ton of water to this total disaster afterward?

It seems the issue isn't just about the water itself, but also the salt intake. Apparently, you're supposed to add some sea salt to every liter you drink. As someone once mentioned, water can flush everything out of your system—toxins, vitamins, and minerals alike. Salt is essential because, when paired with water, it helps regulate fluid balance in the body. Basically, it comes down to finding the right ratio of water to SEA SALT [which is better since it lacks additives and keeps the minerals that table salt loses during processing] to ensure the body functions optimally.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check out this site:

http://www.watercure2.com/

The doctor on the site claims we are all suffering from inadequate water and salt intake [dehydration], and suggests that this dehydration is actually the root cause of most illnesses.
