Painful urination

I’m worried it might be kidney-related since this has been going on for a while and I’ve had a cold the whole time.

Go straight to the ER and demand a referral for a urinalysis. If you don't have a primary care physician in the city, just head to urgent care; they'll provide one. You could end up running a very high fever, and if this has already moved from your bladder to your kidneys, you shouldn't be playing games. Why is it that nobody wants to see a doctor? This is extremely damaging to the kidneys. Don't mess around.
