When I say we can't really gauge how satisfied everyone is with the moderation here, this is exactly what I mean: there isn't a single dedicated space where we can actually voice our thoughts on how the forum is being run overall. If you try to bring up the subject in any other thread, your post just gets wiped because it’s considered "off-topic." On this specific sub-forum, the only way to speak up is to comment on a specific post or react to a moderator's individual action that felt out of line. It feels like trying to give feedback to a manager when they've locked the office door and only left a tiny suggestion box for specific complaints.

By constantly obsessing over the micro details, you’re actually making it impossible for us to discuss the big picture. Here’s an example: if a user feels that a specific moderator—or even the entire moderation team—is driven by a particular political worldview, the response is always, "Show me proof." So, the user provides a screenshot of a conversation where a mod responds to a comment in a way that perfectly aligns with that specific ideology, even if it doesn't match the user's own views. And there’s a very high chance that that same ideological bias will be echoed by most, if not all, of the other moderators.
So, what can a forum user actually do? Where are we supposed to go when we want to voice our thoughts? It feels like a huge number of people here share this same frustration—that sense that they don't really have a platform to speak up about the things they care about. On the surface, everything looks totally transparent, like there’s an open door for everyone to weigh in, but unfortunately, that just isn't the reality.

If that whole "men in black" comment was meant to target priests and nuns in general, then we’ve got a serious problem on our hands.

Why didn't they just leave that phrase out? By keeping it in, it feels like they're making a sweeping generalization, implying that every single priest or nun falls into that category.

The excuse is always the same: they claim the topic would "insult the moderators" or some other nonsense. It’s ironic, really, because half the threads here feel like an insult to everyone else. Let's give the community a fair chance to share their thoughts on how this place is being run.

We can't view the world solely through the lens of collectivism.
At the end of the day, we are all individuals.
While the term "society" generally refers to a large group of people, a truly mature and tolerant society will show empathy toward those who don't always think in terms of the collective. When it comes to social responsibility, sure—we have obligations. But needing to constantly, intensely connect with others? Not necessarily. In other words, while you shouldn't reject fundamental social norms, how much you choose to interact with the world is a private matter.

I don't think that's really the point. We all have to work to make a living; we aren't cavemen anymore. It's more that modern society has basically mandated extroversion as the default setting. If you don't fit that mold, people immediately label you as an outcast or someone with a bad attitude.
