Mark Fox44 said:Hey everyone! I’m currently doing the fish therapy with those Garar little guys, and it’s been a week since my first session, so I’m about a third of the way through (day 21).

Are you hanging out in Santa Barbara or San Francisco?
My wife went to Santa Barbara once and was actually pretty happy with it for a bit, but then we headed out for a ski trip that year and I guess the cold weather just triggered a flare-up or something, making everything come back faster.
Anyway, I'm hoping to head back out there sometime this September.
So, keep me posted on how things are going for you...
Catch you all later 👍

So, I went ahead and picked up that cream Chris Morgan67 was talking about for my wife, and we'll just have to see if it actually does anything; grabbed a bar of soap to go with it too. Really hoping it does the trick for her.
Quick question for Chris Morgan67, how many times a day are you applying that stuff—just curious?

Mark Fox44 said:Regarding those fish, nobody is claiming they’re some kind of miracle cure, but they definitely help! Since social services in places like the US or Canada cover part of the cost for certain therapies, I’d assume they actually do something useful.

My wife actually tried the fish therapy and it worked for her—those spots she had faded and thinned out, and that redness died down quite a bit. It was right at the end of summer, so maybe the sunshine and being by the ocean helped too? That was three years ago, though, and now the issues have resurfaced just like before. Still, we’re planning on having her go again this year because honestly, even if it’s just a temporary fix, she’ll feel better for it.
We’re hoping for a bit of a rejuvenation this time around, so we'll just have to see how that goes; they say things can shift for the better during pregnancy, but unfortunately, they can swing south just as fast. Either way, we'll find out soon enough...
Best of luck

PS. Michael Ramos3 - MERRY CHRISTMAS - just keep the ads to yourself, please...

Hey everyone

I’m just sitting here holding onto the hope that Michael Ramos3 hasn't paid his internet bill for a few months, so maybe we can finally get some peace and quiet without being harassed for a while...

Hey guys, has anyone here hit up a public pool or maybe one of those spa resorts lately—you know, just for the hell of it, hanging out with the family or a group of friends? Do they actually let people dealing with psoriasis swim in these spas? I’m asking because I was thinking about taking my wife away for a weekend getaway to a resort, but I really don't want us to show up only to be told we can't get in the water. I already shot them an email to check, so now I'm just sitting here waiting on a reply, but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this before. Anyway, my wife has this one patch (if you know what I mean, I hate that word) about 4 inches wide on one shin and another smaller one on the other leg. What do you all think, and have any of you dealt with something similar?

Here’s the deal with what I’ve picked up about psoriasis so far: there isn't just one version of this thing, which means you can't just throw the same treatment at everyone and expect miracles. And honestly? Anyone out there claiming they’re totally "cured" is just blowing smoke, because let’s face it, that’s just not where we are yet. What *is* actually doable is managing the flare-ups through all sorts of stuff—everything from creams, lotions, oils, and ointments to UVB light therapy or even those specialized fish treatments. But here’s the kicker: everyone reacts differently. Just because some specific remedy worked wonders for one person doesn't mean it'll do squat for you, right? You’ve basically got to try the whole spectrum and see what sticks, while keeping in mind that your personal win might be someone else's total bust.

I can't really complain, honestly, because my skin hasn't looked this good during the winter in forever. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely at my peak during the summer when the sun and the beach do all the heavy lifting, or right after a trip to the coast, but I'd love to actually keep this glow once the temperature drops. I've been thinking about just picking up a small tanning bed with UVB lamps—there's one available in Germany (METEC UV236T (with Broadband UVB Lamps)
) that goes for about $1,000, and I feel like that might be the way to go if I want to maintain this look through the winter months. It’s not exactly cheap, but hey, if it actually works...

holy crap, thanks for the heads up 😁

I’ve been using Psorcutan 5 for about 5 or 6 days now and—knock on wood—it actually works? Like, seriously, the redness has calmed down so much, everything feels thinner, and the scaling is just gone. I’m honestly thrilled with the results. (Knock on wood!) Not that I’m superstitious or anything, but hey... :-)

So, I finally picked up my Psorcutan 5 ointment today—I actually ordered it last Tuesday. Fingers crossed it actually does the trick, right? Does anyone know how often I should be applying this stuff, or if there’s anything else I should be pairing it with to make it work better?

Bottom line is, you gotta go with UVB lamps.

I’m seeing pretty small amounts on my end too,
but when it comes to those little fish
it’s actually killer—like, the vibe is just great, and since you’ve gotta hang out with them for two hours anyway, you might as well catch a movie or something else while you're at it,
so there's really no reason to be stressed about it.

Psoralan is this lotion they make
The number is 555-012-3456 and you should ask for Ms. Sarah Jenkins
They’re based out of Austin, but she can totally just mail it to you—she sent mine straight to Chicago once
I think I was one of the very first people to try those fish spa treatments with them
Honestly, if you can swing it, I’d tell your daughter to go get those little fish therapy sessions, because even if nothing else happens, it buys you at least two years of peace, especially if you pair it with a cleaner diet and actually paying attention to what you eat
Anyway, I know for a fact that being by the ocean helps me immensely, whereas the snow? Forget about it, everything just goes south when it gets cold or when the seasons shift
I pretty much know exactly how the little one feels since I went through the exact same thing back when I was 14
Even now, when I see someone who doesn't know anything about it staring at me like I have some kind of... well, you know
Bottom line, just give the lady a call and ask her all about that lotion
My skin has improved a bit, but I've basically been riding the wave from those fish treatments three years ago—though things have flared up slightly recently, so I'm trying my best to keep it from spreading further
Good luck, and please let us know how it turns out
Also, there are these tanning salons that use specific medical-grade lamps specifically designed for psoriasis treatment; I actually found out online that you can buy them in Germany too. I am seriously trying every single thing under the sun, but honestly, having my husband and parents in my corner is the most important part

The lotion is basically just salt, olive oil, minerals from the Dead Sea, lavender, and a few other things
It’s mostly 100% natural stuff, and honestly, it’s worked better for me than any of those fancy creams I’ve wasted money on. I don't even know if I should name the specific brand, but you can easily find it online if you look up the fish icon. Anyway, the flaky skin is gone, and even some of the areas that weren't super thick have smoothed out—and all this in just a week since I started using it. You're supposed to use it twice a day, ideally right after a shower, and they suggest doing a long soak in the tub for about half an hour twice a week... you really ought to try it, what have you got to lose? I used to use Aquaphor before, but it didn't do a damn thing for me so I gave up on it, plus apparently, you aren't supposed to use that stuff all the time anyway.

Look, I’ve been dealing with psoriasis for a long time now.
I used to hit the beach regularly and it worked wonders, but after two years, things started acting up again; then I heard about this specific lotion, ordered it, and honestly? It’s been a total game-changer.
The redness is gone, the itching has stopped, and it isn't spreading anymore—I’m seriously stoked right now and just praying it stays this way. I really feel like nobody should just throw in the towel; why wouldn't you keep pushing until you find something that actually works?
