Did Oct express himself correctly when he mentioned follicular psoriasis?
We all pretty much know what common psoriasis is and how it's treated.
But anything tied to terms like follicle, folliculitis, or follicular usually points toward diseases caused by bacteria like strep or staph.
It hits the hair follicles, showing up as those pus-filled bumps. It can spread from person to person or just move from one part of your body to another by rubbing against the skin. It can cover almost everything except the palms and soles of the feet.
Having a forum like this is absolutely vital. It’s the only place where we can swap ideas on how to ease our symptoms, talk therapies, and all that. Honestly, being here shows us we aren't alone and that some people have it even tougher than we do.

As for me, I’d say my skin is doing okay right now.
"Okay" is a relative term when you’re dealing with psoriasis on the scale I am, though.
For me, the flare-ups hit hard during the transitions—late summer through early spring, basically whenever the seasons shift. But once that passes? It clears up significantly on its own, sometimes even looking like it's totally gone.
Regarding Oct, he hasn't posted in quite a while. Honestly, it's hard to say why.
Just take a look at the photos he shared and read his last few posts; you can judge for yourself.
Anyway, I'm right there in the trenches with you, sharing the struggle against this damn disease.

It started at my elbows, then moved to my butt, then knees, then thighs (both front and back), then the tops of my feet, my shins, and my calves. It kept spreading to my lower back, forearms, top of my feet, upper back, chest, stomach, and finally my upper arms.
Basically, the disease spread to almost 80% of my body.
Thankfully, by some miracle, my head stayed clear.
Look, I’m not trying to whine here; most of you guys know exactly what this struggle feels like.
At first, I tried the standard medical route, but since nothing was working, I decided to try something different.
To make a long story short: out of that 80% of my skin that used to be covered in red, swollen, scaly, or raw patches (honestly, everything was inflamed with just tiny islands of normal skin), right NOW, the total affected area is only about 2-3% if I add up all the remaining little spots!!!
And hey, I just want to tell you all: there is hope!!!
I’m not delusional enough to say I’m totally cured, but considering I haven't been to the beach or in the sun for two years, and I haven't even been slathering on creams or running to doctors, the result is FANTASTIC.
In the places where huge sections of my skin (some areas were 6x6 inches!) used to be covered, now there's just some slightly darker pigmentation and maybe an occasional red spot.
AND ALL THIS IN JUST ONE YEAR!!!
I owe these results to one herbalist and his special tea. Also to a moderate diet—basically avoiding certain foods—and cutting out tobacco and alcohol.
The guy lives out in the Ozarks, where he gathers medicinal herbs for his blends.
I found him through a recommendation (it wasn't easy getting to him), because I heard he has more absolute success stories with psoriasis than anyone else.
His tea is a blend of naturally dried medicinal herbs; you drink 3-4 sips every half hour after boiling it, throughout the day.
That’s how I used it, and man, the results have been great.
After browsing various online forums and knowing everything I went through because of this nasty disease, I had the idea to ask him if he could help others like me too.
He promised me we could give it a shot. He packs the tea in 250g bags for $25. One bag lasted me about 15 days, though that depends on how strong the tea needs to be (for someone else, that might last 20 days). For more info--just send a PM😉 , jadesailor14

My psoriasis is still staying quiet, too. I’ve just been using some baby oil to keep things smooth. I have an appointment scheduled for the fall, though honestly, I don't think I'll really need it.😍

I'm doing pretty good myself—just hoping this streak lasts! Since I live right by the coast, I try to get in the water whenever I can.

A buddy of mine has been going there for years and he’s totally clear of psoriasis now. Not sure how much of it is the water, but the Evening News actually ran a piece on Hot Springs saying it's one of the best spots in the US for treating psoriasis...
Definitely worth a shot. I'm thinking of doing seven days there first, then maybe heading down to the Gulf Coast later.
