Herbalife thoughts? in Health ·
🙂 🙂
Well, look... I wasn't exactly sitting down to a 1,000-calorie lunch back when I was on that diet either...
But if you step back and look at it, it’s not actually that impossible. To me, that number sounded—and still sounds—absolutely massive. But then, once I actually sat down and started crunching the numbers myself, I was just speechless... I mean, think about it: some French fries, maybe a couple of breaded chicken cutlets, some bread, and then something sweet, like cookies or whatever... you pile that stuff up fast. And honestly, anyone struggling with their weight tends to eat like that; I know I certainly did. Still, even looking back, a meal like that feels like an insane amount of calories. 🙂

So, I used to be on Herbalife—you know, all that stuff, the shakes, the tea, those three different types of pills—and honestly, it worked pretty well for me. I started out at well over 220 pounds and managed to drop down to about 128, which feels just right for my body. But, I wasn't just sitting on the couch; I was hitting the trails for a walk up some steep hills 5.0 miles at least four times a week in the mornings, and then getting on my bike in the afternoons. It’s a solid setup, especially for people like me who have a massive weakness for junk food and are way too lazy to actually cook a real meal, so we just grab something processed on the go. The shake tastes great, too. I’d have it for breakfast and dinner, and I never felt hungry because it actually keeps you full. I still ate lunch with my family; the trick was just making sure I didn't blow past 1,000 calories during that midday meal, since those shakes are only around 220 calories, if I remember correctly.
As for that whole "rebound weight" thing... look, that's just what happens with any diet if you go right back to your old eating habits once you're done. It probably would’ve been smarter if I’d started eating more veggies and home-cooked meals to make maintaining the weight easier, but I just don't love that kind of food. I found a balance that works for my lifestyle without gaining everything back. I still eat my fair share of unhealthy stuff, but I keep moving—walking, running, biking, hitting an aerobics class... there's always something going on, and that combination just seems to click for me.
And seriously, I will always have a massive amount of respect for people who can actually sit down and enjoy a plate full of greens.

Take care! 👋
