Zoran #31 Nürnberg Buffalos said:Hey everyone.
So, here’s the deal. I’m 18, living over in Nuremberg. I’ve been playing American football—gridiron style—for about a year now. I started out with the Youth football team, and currently, I’m playing for the Nuremberg Buffalos in the Major League here in Bavaria.
The sport is incredible—but man, you really have to grind. It takes massive amounts of training, insane discipline... and then there's a whole list of other stuff.
If there’s ever a meetup happening in the States, I’ll swing by, though probably only around Easter or during the summer... I’d love to help build the scene back home in America.
Cheers,
Zoran
Hi!
Since you played with the Franken Timberwolves,
did you ever run into a buddy of mine who used to play there?
He’s Italian, goes by Carlo Mariani.
Not sure if you guys crossed paths, but he was playing in Germany about two or three years ago.

Maybe this is actually happening...
There’s a legitimate chance we might finally get some serious American football going here in the States!
Word on the street is that a ton of people are itching to give it a shot—so much so that we’re probably going to set up a massive meetup for everyone interested.
I can't spill too many details just yet, though... stay tuned.
There might even be an immediate path to playing in the EuroLeague—you know, that international circuit involving teams from Italy, Canada, and Austria—since there's a club over in Trieste that's practically begging to take on players from around here.
I know for a fact there's going to be a crowd at Hooters watching the SB.
Honestly, I’ll probably end up there myself!
--Talking about the ball (darkgardener5)-- I spotted two of them at the Cisalf over at King Kross Jankomir.
If my eyes didn't deceive me, they should be priced right around $50.
Look, if you can't find one... I've got two... I could hook you up with one... or just grab some in Italy...
Quick heads-up:
I'm heading out to New York City on Sunday the 13th and Sunday the 27th to play with the Mustangs club (is that how you spell it???)—let me know if anyone wants in...
In case you want to see what's actually going on behind the scenes of the football action...
http://xoomer.virgilio.it/ghostonline
It feels to me like most other sports just have way too much "dead time" built into them...
Well, nothing for it—better to actually try playing before talking big... and maybe twice if you're feeling brave...
If my writing is a total mess... please, just tell me!
That’s probably the only reason I haven't heard back on my questions yet...
I was basically asking, "Is there anyone actually interested in playing, or is anyone already out there playing American football?"
Either everyone else completely missed the point of what I wrote—in which case, my bad—or they're the ones at fault for not posting stuff in the right sections...
Who knows...
Later 😁
What exactly is so boring to you?
I’m not sure if you’ve ever actually played American football... but I really don't see how it could be dull...
I mean, it depends on your definition of "boring"... for instance, I find soccer incredibly tedious—sorry, not sorry—but I just don't get how people can watch a match that ends 0-0 just because it was a "solid defensive result" for both sides.
I’d much rather watch tennis; at least with every single point, there's some actual action happening...
Hockey isn't boring to me, and neither is basketball... or boxing...
But man, soccer... even if I had played it, I don't think I could stomach it.
As for baseball, I can't really weigh in since I've never played it or watched it.
But I truly don't get how American football could be boring: when you're out there playing, those 40 seconds of "downtime" between plays are absolutely essential—believe me, you need them—and when you're watching, it's the perfect time to catch the instant replays...
Anyway, fair enough, everyone has their own thing. Right?
PS: Sorry if my English is a bit rough...
If it’s really that "easy"...
Why don't you just give it a shot?
From where I'm sitting, even two seconds of play seems like way too much for you to handle...
But hey—maybe if you actually put in some training—you might manage to survive five seconds...
See ya!
PS: It's usually better to try something before talking trash about it... you know, so you actually have a clue what you're talking about... just a thought. Ciao.
PPS: Sorry about my American...
Hey there!
I was just wondering if anyone out here in Chicago wants to get started—whether you want to actually play, learn the ropes, or just get a better feel for American football.
Look, I know it’s going to be a steep learning curve at first,
but honestly, it feels like the perfect time for the sport to really take off here in the States!
All it takes is a little bit of passion...
I'll be waiting for you guys.
PS: Sorry if my English is a bit rough...
Way to go, Rita!
Man, I couldn't agree more with what you said!
The hardest part is just getting the ball rolling.
I can't type much right now—fingers crossed my PC actually stays running long enough... sigh...
But, I just wanted to put this out there:
If you're interested or if you know anyone else who might be, hit me up or reach out to Lawrence Peterson82.
We only need about 5 or 6 people to get this game started!
Talk soon!
Excuse my American...
Yeah.
But I’m still trying to figure out if anyone here actually plays tonight—or, I don't know, maybe someone just wants to get a game going around here!!!
I spent 13 years playing back in Italy, and now that I'm living in Washington, D.C., I wanted to see if there's even an opportunity to play here in the States.
I know there's a club over in Vienna, so why isn't there anything like it in Washington, D.C.?
Not a bad call if you ask me!
Anyone else down to play?
You honestly think this is just being brutal?
The field isn't the issue... nor is the pitch itself...
And honestly, equipment isn't even an issue at this stage...
It's just finding enough players—I mean, there are plenty of teams out there that would be thrilled if I could just get 21 guys together...
Anyone in Washington, D.C. looking to get a game in?
Valerio.
