Hey, looking for someone to chat with—ideally between 20 and 30. Gender doesn't matter to me; I'm just looking to kill some time. We can talk about whatever comes to mind.
I’m dealing with a Samsung T7 SSD that just—for reasons known only to the universe—decided to quit on me. It was running my macOS installation, and then suddenly, nothing. Total silence. When I plug it into my laptop via an external cable, the drive actually shows up and I can see the partitions, but the second I try to format it or do anything useful, the whole screen freezes up. I end up having to kill the process in Task Manager just to get my computer back. What am I looking at here before I just toss this thing in the trash?
Swapped out the stock Samsung SSD in my Dell Inspiron 15 for a Crucial x1 SSD. At first, everything was smooth—laptop picked up the drive immediately, I threw Windows on there, and it ran like a charm. But now? It’s acting up. After a while, the laptop struggles to even boot, almost as if it can't find the SSD at all. So, naturally, I reinstalled Windows—worked perfectly fine until it didn't. Now, when I try to boot, Windows fails to recognize the drive and I just get hit with a "Media Center" error. To make matters worse, when I check the BIOS, the SSD isn't even listed. I honestly can't believe the drive is the culprit—especially since I already sold the original Samsung SSD that came with the machine. Any advice?

just please don't tell me you turned it off 😢 .... or that you can't remember the report it spits out at the end.
To boot from a USB, you've gotta tweak the "boot order" so that the bootable USB is set as priority one and the hard drive is second... check your laptop's manual to see which F key you need to tap during startup to get into those settings, or just dive straight into the BIOS.
The impact probably caused some bad sectors on the hard drive, so if you can't get things working by booting Windows 10 from a thumb drive and using its repair tools, you should run some diagnostic software to check.
If the hard drive is pretty much toast, pull it out and plug it into a desktop PC. If the system recognizes it, grab all your personal stuff—documents, photos, videos, music, emails, browser bookmarks, whatever—then just swap in a fresh hard drive for the laptop.
I let it run for almost a day and a half and nothing changed. I'm reading on foreign forums that you can leave it running forever, but it won't actually fix anything.
I'm wondering if I can swap an SSD into this laptop instead of the current HDD—I saw online that I can use an adapter to put an SSD in place of the optical drive LINK And would I be able to set that SSD up to run Windows after the installation?
Hey there,
I'm dealing with a Dell Latitude 5000 series—basically, I dropped my laptop by accident. Everything seemed fine at first, but then a few days later, during the Windows 10 boot sequence, I got hit with this message: "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete". I tried running a Windows reinstall via a USB drive, but it won't even boot from the USB.
Anyone have a clue what's going on here? Is it possible the HDD finally bit the dust?
Can anyone here make sense of these blood work results? I had them done to check on some allergies and to see where my vitamin and mineral levels stand.

Male, 24. I’m a bit on the introverted side, but I’m looking to connect with some decent people—whether that stays strictly digital or evolves into meeting up in person if there’s actually substance to our conversations. I need someone to chat with, someone to help push me out of my comfort zone, and honestly, just someone to kill the boredom. I don't smoke, I hit the gym regularly, and I enjoy socializing, gaming, long walks, and going out. My music taste is pretty varied—everything from international hits to local favorites. I can talk about just about anything, but I’m also happy to be a listener; if you're dealing with stuff or just find it easier to vent to a stranger, I get it—I’ve definitely needed a shoulder to lean on myself at times.
Everything else via DM.

Under the keyboard section, look for HP Hotkey Support (American, International)... I went ahead and selected Windows 10 (64bit) on the link myself.
If that doesn't do the trick—and since you mentioned messing with the thermal paste earlier—it’s possible you pulled one of those ribbon cables connecting the keyboard a little too hard...
Just wanted to follow up—it actually was a driver issue after all. Thanks for the help. 😉
Quick question—I just finished cleaning out the fan and swapping the thermal paste on my HP laptop, and now the F9 and F10 brightness keys aren't responding. Weirdly enough, the volume controls (F6 and F7) are working perfectly fine. Any ideas?
It’s an HP Probook 455 G1 running Windows 10. I actually did a clean reinstall yesterday and everything was working flawlessly—until I opened it up to change the paste. Now those specific keys are dead.
I never deal with nausea while driving or flying—that’s not my issue. The real problem hits when I’m behind the wheel or being driven up some winding mountain pass. It isn't even the curves themselves; it’s the looking down from above. One time, while driving through those turns, my legs practically gave out underneath me—it was like a sudden, overwhelming fear of heights...

Can't speak for Silver Band, but I can tell you this about Kriv Spoj: they're killer. I caught them at a wedding recently and they absolutely crushed it—especially during the cake cutting and when the newlyweds, best man, and bridesmaids all join in for a song. They really know how to crank up the energy. Honestly, though, it all comes down to what kind of vibe you two settle on...
What kind of cash could I realistically pull for this entire setup?

I have a question regarding laser eye surgery. I've had strabismus in my left eye since birth—had an operation for it when I was five. I'm 14 now. I used to wear a patch over my healthy eye, though I wasn't exactly diligent about it because it was a constant nuisance. The goal was to force the left eye to work, but I haven't worn the patches for the last two months—mostly because wearing them at school makes everything look blurry. A week ago, I went to see a doctor to check my status. He told me my vision in the left eye is only at 25%, and he measured my prescription—my left eye is a -2.5. Now I'm stuck. Is it even worth getting laser surgery? What are the actual chances of my eye returning to normal, and how long would the recovery take? It’s not like I’m blind, but if I cover my right eye, you can clearly see how much weaker the left one is. Also, what kind of price tag are we looking at here?
Thanks for understanding... please advise.
