With psoriasis, there is no such thing as a permanent cure—only a series of temporary reprieves.
Hmm... heard about this today. Might be worth a shot, at least.

You misread me. I meant skipping an entire generation—not going for the son or daughter, but the grandchild.
Decided to spend some time scrolling through forums and the web to see if there’s anything new out there to fight this relentless disease...
I've been dealing with this for over 10 years—maybe even longer. It started when I was about 10. It runs in my family on both sides; apparently, it passes down from grandfather to grandson. At first, it showed up on my elbows. My primary care doctors insisted it wasn't psoriasis, but then a dermatologist stepped in and prescribed Beloderm. After using it for a few weeks or months—it was a long time ago, I can't recall exactly—my elbows lost all their pigment. It took quite a while for the color to return. Take it from me: be careful with those steroid-based creams. Don't overdo it. Later, it moved into my hair, and eventually hit my face—specifically my cheeks. It isn't overwhelming on my face, but it's noticeable; my cheeks get flushed and peel periodically. I'm hesitant to apply too much cream there because I don't want to bleach the skin on my face. Ultimately, what I've noticed most is that stress is the biggest trigger, followed by diet. Salty and greasy food is absolute death.
