So, I’ve been dealing with psoriasis since I was only nine years old. I had these constant issues with tonsillitis growing up, and later on, it turned into strep throat—which my doctor told me was actually the trigger for the psoriasis in the first place. Back then, it was brutal... I mean, it covered me from head to toe. I tried using those UV light therapy lamps during the winter, but honestly? They didn't do a thing for me. I just waited out the cold months until summer hit, headed out to some sunny island to soak up the sun and the ocean, and by the time autumn rolled around, my skin had cleared up completely. People told me it would flare up every three years or so, and I actually had a nice, peaceful stretch all through middle school, but then it popped up again on my scalp. Now it's flared up on my scalp, behind my ears, and even inside my ears. There's also this tiny patch on my elbow, but I barely even notice that one. Does anyone know a decent shampoo specifically for the scalp?
Oronazol doesn't do anything for me, and every once in a while I'll put on some Belosalic lotion which helps a little bit, but I just can't seem to kick this stuff for good. I heard someone mention that Vichy dandruff shampoo is supposed to be good—does anyone think that might actually help with psoriasis? What are your thoughts?
