Chris Morgan67 said:I’m not on some strict diet and I don't obsess over my food intake—honestly, I don't think it helps those of us dealing with psoriasis. My theory is that if you, say, stop eating meat for two years and then suddenly have a burger, it’ll just shock your system and send the psoriasis into overdrive.
I eat fruit and veggies every day, meat, grains—basically a standard American diet. I smoke, I drink occasionally😬 and yeah, sometimes I grab a soda, plus I drink enough coffee to fill a swimming pool.

Right now, I'm just taking multivitamins because I happen to have them lying around🙂 along with some evening primrose oil capsules (people swear by them for skin).
For the last few days, I've been mixing a spoonful of vinegar with 2-3 tablespoons of honey and a little water in the morning.
I've heard from several different sources that honey and vinegar are actually good for our condition.

The internet says that if you don't have open sores from the psoriasis, you can toss some vinegar into your bath or mix it with your body lotion. Apparently, the vinegar calms the itching and disinfects the skin without killing off the good Bacteria.

As for oils... man, I swear by them.🙏 🙏
For years now, I've been applying oils to my skin while it's still wet right after showering.
I've tried olive, sesame, St. John's Wort, calendula—you name it, they all work wonders. After I apply the oil to my damp skin, I just pat myself dry with a towel. Even basic store-bought stuff, like Nivea, works great.

I also use that calendula ointment from CVS which costs about $3.00. Since it has petroleum jelly in it, it really nourishes my skin.

Basically, oils have been my lifesaver. Most of us with psoriasis deal with incredibly dry skin, and the oils help flake off the scales, smooth everything out, and tone down the redness.

I've tried using oils too, but never on wet skin like you do. I might give that a shot, but what about clothes? If you grease yourself up like that, won't you just ruin your wardrobe? Do you wait a while before getting dressed? I've got patches on my stomach and back, so I always end up sticking to my shirt.
I use calendula ointment sometimes too, mostly because it’s so greasy. I usually just put it on at night before bed, though honestly, almost everything I apply goes on right before sleep.
Plus, I get breakouts on my face too—around my nose and everywhere else.

You can actually keep psoriasis under control without resorting to toxic stuff—just by using totally natural things like oils and honey.

Hey, Chris Morgan67!
Could you let me know if you’re following any specific diet? I'm also curious about which oils you swear by and how exactly you use honey. The reason I ask is that the diet I’m currently on actually bans honey—apparently, it's bad for the liver, much like all those acids... which would include the apple cider vinegar you mentioned. Well, I've been drinking apple cider vinegar for two mornings straight now, so here goes nothing.
As for applying it topically, someone taught me last year that I should infuse the apple cider vinegar with walnut leaves, yarrow, or wormwood. I actually made my own batch, but I never ended up using it because I was terrified of how the acid might sting my open sores—I just can't handle that kind of pain. About a month ago, I finally tossed those little jars out of the house.

Joshua Allen54 said:Has anyone actually tried that ointment and cream they make over in Dimitrovgrad, Mexico?

I haven't personally tried it, but I did give them a call—they offer both a tea and an ointment. The tea is pretty much identical to the stuff you'll find in one of Maria Treben's books, though the ointment is a bit of a different story.

Chris Morgan67, thanks for being such a sweetheart and keeping things so positive. Honestly, I think everyone around you is just lucky to know you.
Stay happy always, and I really hope your biggest "struggle" in life ends up being nothing more than psoriasis.
Sending love and a big hug!

You’re probably right—honestly, I’m doing pretty well with my psoriasis today, though if I had been sick back then, I really wish my mom had just done exactly that. The place I live is... well, let's just say it's pretty backward when it comes to this stuff, and honestly, most other things too. Everyone has their flaws, sure, but everyone here spends so much time pretending to be something they aren't—and man, you have to admit, that’s a heavy burden to carry.
I’m a completely different person now compared to the girl I was at the start. Seriously, every single bit of positive encouragement on these pages has helped me more than I can say—and keeps helping, too.
Still, every once in a while, a little streak of doubt or just a tiny dose of fear flies through my head. Like, what if...
Maybe it just looks that way in this corner of the internet, but I’m not a negative person in general, even if life has thrown some pretty brutal situations my way that tried to break me.

Gabby and Chris Morgan67, thank you both so much for the kind words and the support. It really means a lot. I’m holding onto the hope that you guys are right and that I’m just spiraling for no reason. Honestly, this is the first time since becoming a mom that I've even let this doubt slip out—I've never actually said it out loud or shared it with anyone before. In moments like this, I can't help but spiral into wondering if I was being selfish when I decided to have kids... like, am I potentially sentencing them to deal with this condition their whole lives? If the worst were to happen, God forbid, I know I'd carry that guilt forever, even though I didn't choose to get sick myself.
I'm not going to freak out, but I honestly don't think I'll ever truly shake this feeling.
P.S. In my entire family—which isn't exactly huge—only one uncle (out of four brothers) has psoriasis, plus me.

What are the actual odds that a kid will end up developing psoriasis if their mom is already dealing with it? Honestly, seeing every little spot or patch on my child's skin just breaks my heart—it’s hard to watch. If anyone out there has any insight, personal experience, or even just some perspective, please, let me know.
Greetings from a very worried mom!

These were taken Monday night, but I’m just now getting around to uploading them—life happens, right?
That's the psoriasis progress in the shots, and there's me underneath it all.

I really feel for you guys because this looks pretty intense. The skin looks incredibly inflamed—you might want to try making a tea out of wild chamomile or even picking up some aloe vera at a local drugstore; it helps dial down that inflammation (I've actually tried it myself).
An even better option, which is totally harmless, is using whey—that liquid left over when you make cheese. It should definitely help soothe the skin. If you can get your hands on it, give it a shot alongside whatever ointments you're already using.

Hello Gabby!
I’m not exactly an expert when it comes to all these different medications—definitely not my specialty—but I actually stumbled upon that Zorac on the website of some American pharmaceutical company. According to what they have listed there, it’s incredibly potent and comes with a long list of contraindications. You aren't even supposed to get it on healthy skin because it causes redness and this intense stinging sensation. Even at the local pharmacy, they wouldn't recommend using it without talking to a doctor first, specifically because of those risks. Just please, be careful out there!
Wishing you guys the best of luck!

rapidpanther41 said:I couldn't get my mind at ease, so I ended up scrolling through every single one of Michael Ramos3's posts. And honestly? It’s wild—his dad actually tried almost every remedy mentioned on this entire forum, and there's an answer for everything. I don't blame anyone for grabbing a remedy recommended by Michael Ramos3; if I were being attacked by skin issues on this scale, I’d probably do the exact same thing. There's really nothing left to lose—it's that old logic: how much is your health actually worth to you? The guy is telling the truth. Official medicine hasn't been able to help us, but he’s offering a hand, even if it comes with a price tag. And when it comes to our health, what's a little money?

I've spent a good chunk of time reading through everything posted here, and trust me, I’ve personally tried quite a few of these things myself. I haven't jumped on Michael Ramos3's balm just yet, but I probably will soon.
If it doesn't work, I'll just move on to the next thing—that's basically been my life for years.

Hope never dies!

Hey silentheron25, thanks a million for that mixture you shared. It’s actually the exact same ratio I’ve been following straight out of Maria Treben’s book. I’ve even been making my own ointment using Rosopas juice, though—full disclosure—I just got a little warning here on the forum to be careful with Rosopas. According to the book, I should also be doing baths with black alder or chamomile, but honestly, I haven't gotten around to trying either of those yet.
Regarding the diet, definitely skip the raw apples—not a good idea—but having an apple compote every day is fine.

BEST REGARDS!!

It honestly feels like most of these greasy ointments and creams do more harm than good at this point.
From now on, I’m sticking to just St. John's Wort oil and calendula cream—though, if I'm being real, I'm a little worried that might not be enough to actually keep this thing under wraps. I'll hang on for a bit longer to see how Michael Ramos3's balm works before I decide whether to add that to the rotation.
On top of all that, my nails have been messed up for a few years now, and my joints are killing me (mostly my hands, especially the left one). About a year ago, I finally went to see a Dermatologist, and they prescribed some topical stuff—something like Sinelar or whatever—along with some anti-inflammatory meds (which I never take) and told me to get tested for rheumatism. The results came back negative, so I basically just stopped going.
I’m kind of at a loss here because I don't even touch painkillers. For now, I'm just powering through, but I don't think I can keep playing it this way if things keep getting worse.
Robert Clark2 mentioned he was dealing with psoriatic arthritis—does what I'm going through sound like that?

Michael Ramos3, thanks so much for the kind words. Honestly, if I didn't have my faith in God, I wouldn't even be having these kinds of conversations with you all.
When I first got diagnosed with psoriasis, I felt like it was the end of the world. For years, the only people who knew what I was going through were my family. Eventually, things shifted—I stopped trying to hide it quite as much, though I still couldn't stand the staring or the constant questions from strangers. Over the last five or six years, I've actually become more comfortable answering questions about my skin patterns, hitting up the hair salon, or seeing an aesthetician without feeling like I need to bolt for the exit.
I’ve accepted this condition—or at least, I like to think I have.
I still have those little moments of crisis, but they pass pretty quickly. I don't really have the luxury of sitting around wallowing in self-pity anyway—not when I have three kids depending on me 24/7.
I am sincerely hoping that this is finally the end of the road for my psoriasis.
P.S. If this lasts forever, I'll look ridiculous in a swimsuit for the rest of my life. At that point, I'll have to start looking for help elsewhere.
Glory to the Lord!!

I think you’re probably right—after I drank a huge amount of tea, I started feeling this weird pain around my liver area just a few days later. At the time, I figured it was just the detox properties of the tea working its magic on my liver, but I ended up cutting back on the amount anyway.

In moments like this, I honestly just lose my way and have no clue what to do next. The distrust kicks in so hard that I just stop using everything altogether. And well, you can probably guess what happens then—my psoriasis flares up, and suddenly I'm right back at square one.

Maybe someone could recommend a tea that’s actually harmless?
Thanks in advance!

It looks like most of you haven't had many long-term wins with those Maria Treben tea recipes—or if you did, they didn't stick. I’m actually taking a little break for a few days, though I have been using both the tea and the Rosopas ointment. I’ve also been on a diet for about two or three months now. Since I started losing weight pretty rapidly, I decided to scale back on the tea. The reality is, my psoriasis is actually staying calm—no cracking, no pain. Honestly, I probably should be more disciplined about applying the ointment more often (even if it's just at night). My other issue is that whenever I try something new, I get incredibly impatient, and that mental restlessness is its own kind of misery.
P.S. For those of you who are all over the balm recommended by Michael Ramos3, I’m right there with you—feeling super impatient and just praying for a good result.

Hey everyone!
I figured it was about time I officially joined the club—it's been about 15 years of dealing with this whole psoriasis situation for me. I’ve actually been lurking on this forum for quite a while now, picking up a lot of useful tidbits along the way. Honestly, I don't have many people in my life I can actually talk to about this (thank God), so you all feel like the closest thing to people who just *get* it. Regardless of how bad things are getting for anyone, there’s a ton of positive energy in here, which is honestly pretty great.
Just like most of you, I’ve spent a small fortune trying every balm, cream, and random concoction under the sun. Right now, I’m following a regimen from that book "Health from God's Pharmacy" by Maria Treben. Has anyone else here tried her stuff? What was your experience like?
P.S. Wishing nothing but success and a total Healed state to everyone currently using the Healed balm.
