ugh, whatever...
look, maybe things would be easier if half of us didn't know about this—which might actually help the psoriasis—and then we'd circle back to the idea that half of us would be happier just because you're easy on the eyes anyway 🧐
anyway, we aren't planning on having kids regardless—since we fall into that high-risk category, right?
so yeah, just relaxing, no strings attached 🙂
So, Elidel worked for me by basically peeling off all those thickened patches in about a week—pretty fast, I guess. My skin stayed red for a while after that, but it eventually calmed down. In the end, the redness faded, and the skin underneath looked almost like it had survived a burn and completely regenerated. Just that smooth, fresh skin again. 🙂
To be fair, a single 15g tube lasted me about 10 days, and obviously, insurance companies here don't cover it. The price was anywhere from $240 to $100, which—not surprisingly—was one of the main reasons I stopped using it. BTW, you can grab the exact same cream without a prescription in Canada for about $60, if anyone cares. It’s the same stuff, I checked. 🙂
Anyway, a few dermatologists recommended this specific cream to me, especially for the face. Using things like Betamethasone or Beloderm can leave nasty spots, particularly if you apply them to your face and then head out into the sun...
Mainly, I've dealt with this since I was a kid, so I manage reasonably well. For me, it's about cutting back on caffeine (if the psoriasis flares up) and avoiding any respiratory issues—sinus infections, throat stuff, bronchitis, that kind of thing. That part is pretty vital.
BTW, has anyone thought about starting a psoriasis support group to lobby the Government for two months of paid leave at some beach resort? :-D
And finally, out of all the people here, not one person has offered to help reduce stress through sex. You guys are really something. :-P
So, what’s everyone’s take on Elidel cream? My dermatologist put me on it, and honestly, it worked pretty well for me. It feels more like a cosmetic than medicine—doesn't stain the sheets or anything—and it supposedly works by targeting the immune cells...
I did come across some studies later suggesting the cream might be problematic, but my doctors (different ones, including my old one) basically said those concerns mostly apply to kids, not adults...
And so,
hopefully 🙂
Also, just a side note—stress-relieving sex helps me out quite a bit, so if there's any kind soul out there looking to help, I wouldn't say no. 🧐 🧐
