Sadly, he told me that even though his psoriasis is Healed, the joint pain still lingers. His only advice is to stick to kinesiology exercises every single morning—just some basic stretching—and make sure to visit a specialized medical spa for bone and joint health at least once a year.
With faith in God,
Best,
I’m a new member here, having lived with psoriasis for about ten years now. It hasn't been constant, but things changed two years ago when I was diagnosed with gluten enteropathy—basically a wheat allergy. Being a carrier for two different autoimmune diseases is honestly exhausting, especially since I have to maintain a strict gluten-free diet. It is incredibly hard to resist a good roll, pizza, a burger, or fresh bread when you used to eat them without a second thought. I read somewhere that various skin issues are often linked to celiac disease, so I suspect my body was actually reacting to gluten through my skin long before the gastrointestinal symptoms ever showed up. Regardless, I haven't seen a major breakthrough in my skin patches just from cutting out gluten yet, but I know these things take time. As for treatment, I learned the hard way that corticosteroid ointments and creams are harmful; I’ve wasted so much money on tubes of those over the years. Nowadays, I mostly just use hydrating body lotions. I’m lucky enough to live in a sunny coastal state, which helps. Before I head out into the sun, I gently exfoliate the patches with a mild file and slather on some Johnson & Johnson petroleum jelly. My doctor tells me not to do it, but in my experience, removing the scales before tanning makes the skin look much better. I am also using Daivonex locally, which is essentially concentrated Vitamin D, and it’s fine because there are no nasty side effects. My spots aren't huge, but they are scattered all over my legs, along with a few larger patches on my knees and ankles that are about two inches wide. I’m definitely interested in trying your ointment, Michael Ramos3, so please send me your contact info. I have friends coming to visit from the big city soon, and they could easily bring the ointment back for me. Wishing everyone on the Forum the best.
