Just checking in here because I might have missed it... anyone got any actual info on using Homeopathy or some other kind of alternative medicine?

Just wanted to give an update—I've been dealing with guttate psoriasis all over my body for two months now. It flares up whenever things get stressful, no matter how much cream I use or how much light therapy I do.
Had my tonsils out on May 7th, so we'll see if that changes the reaction...

Was chatting with my dermatologists and they mentioned I might need to start on unknown, but I'm holding off for now. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Peace!

Just wanted to drop an update on how the phototherapy is going.
It lasted about five weeks, and after two weeks of UVB, those flare-ups started dying down bit by bit—getting better every single day. Now that I'm almost done, everything has cleared up. No flakes, no itching, nothing... just some visible changes in my skin texture. It’s starting to pop up again in some spots though, mostly on my torso and arms for now. Honestly, I’ve been a little stressed lately, so maybe that’s why it's acting up again.
I'll let you guys know what happens next, since I've got my tonsil surgery coming up soon.

look, you could maybe try a super thin layer of hydrocortisone on your body. if you're heading out for UVB treatment, just wash up at home first and don't put anything on your skin. skin needs to be clean and dry for tanning.

you could also try using Vaseline on the affected spots. you can grab some at CVS. the big tub isn't too bad for the price...$2.75🙂

also, quick update! the biopsy came back with guttate psoriasis vulgaris. apparently, it was triggered by stress a while back and then recently by strep throat, which caused this rash all over my body. turns out it's not hereditary!
getting my tonsils out in 4 months, but I'm on antibiotics for the strep until then.

so now I'm wondering: -once the tonsils are gone, can I get strep again?
-will the psoriasis clear up?
-will it lessen?
-or am I stuck with this thing hiding inside me, just waiting for its next chance to flare up?

Oh, and I also need to get blood work done and a referral for an ENT, just so they can decide if my tonsils need to come out if they're the underlying cause.

Quick update for you guys. Hit up the allergy clinic today, and since my antihistamines aren't doing squat, they sent me over to the psoriasis department. They gave me a more thorough look and think it might be guttate psoriasis, but they aren't 100% sure yet. I have to get a biopsy done, so I won't have a solid diagnosis for another two weeks. In the meantime, they told me to stick with the usual suspect—everyone knows the one—Belosalic... and if I need something for my face, just grab some Bepanthen ointment. Also, they said I can head over to the University tanning beds if I want, so I actually went for my first session today. They prescribed it three times a week. I'll let you know when the results come in, but the only thing I'm stuck on is whether I should start using the Belosalic right away?

Thought I’d jump in here and join the conversation. Here’s my story.
Last September, out of nowhere, this red patch popped up on my skin. It just sat there and started peeling. My doctor put me on some Elcom cream, I used it, and it cleared up. Everything seemed fine until a couple of weeks later when these little spots reappeared. I kept applying the cream, they'd vanish, then new ones would show up... nothing crazy, so I wasn't sweating it too much, just kept treating it as I went.
But about three weeks ago, I caught strep throat and ended up with a full-body rash along with these sheep-like patches on my torso. Saw a dermatologist who reckoned it might be an allergy. He gave me two types of antihistamines and some Belobaza-Belodermi ointment to rub on. It isn't working, though. Every single day it just gets worse. So, I started digging around online and stumbled upon guttate psoriasis, which looks exactly like what I'm dealing with. Found this forum and saw a ton of helpful stuff, which inspired me to finally post something.
For now, that's just my take on it. I'm heading back to the dermatologist soon, so I'll update you guys on the official diagnosis and whatever treatment plan they throw at me.
