If someone comes in here claiming they hate country music just because they’re a hardcore patriot or some ultra-nationalist, they’ve completely missed the point of this forum.
They actually act like being proud of their political stance is a valid reason to snub the genre. Honestly, if you think hating on country music makes you a better patriot, you're delusional. It has absolutely nothing to do with the music, and frankly, it has nothing to do with having any common sense either.

Personally, I find people who look down their noses at country music to be incredibly strange. It’s just tacky. Their whole level of discourse is basically: "Oh, you listen to country? I’d love for someone to walk me through this—please, keep it civil and actually back up your points.
First off, why is there this immediate assumption that if you listen to folk-pop, you must have a sub-standard IQ?
Second, people love to claim we’re drowning in this genre. But honestly, looking at what’s playing on NBC lately, I haven't seen or heard a single Saban Saulic, Sasuti Matica, or even our own Sejo Kalac in over a year. I bet you could spend all day flipping through radio stations and still never run into Ceca Velickovic.
Third, why does everyone act like fans of folk music shouldn't be allowed to share their positive takes on the music they enjoy on THIS forum?
Isn't music fundamentally divided into good and bad? Is there any genre out there that doesn't have its fair share of "gems"?
And let’s be real: can four guys who just happened to find themselves in a garage and barely scraped together two or three chords actually hold an educated conversation about music? Yet, we see these "demo" acts everywhere, being hailed as the next big thing. We're told it's all "for the sake of culture." And don't even get me started on the band names. It seems like people are much better at inventing ridiculous names for their groups than they are at actually learning how to play an instrument. Why does nobody ever call out that nonsense?
