What is wrong with these folks...

I know this isn't exactly the right topic for this subforum, and I don't really hang out in the music sections anyway because those places are full of a different kind of crowd 😬...
There are plenty of different types of people here, so let's see what you all think about this...

I'm reading USA Today right now and saw a headline claiming some Taylor Swift is the new "queen of the Black Knights" 😵... apparently, 3,000 people packed her concert in Miami.

Man, it feels like you can't escape this pop-country trash anymore...

What is it about this style of entertainment that is so magnetic? It used to be that this stuff was just for certain low-lifes from the rough outskirts of town—guys in heavy chains. Mostly construction workers from Canada, Gypsies (without any disrespect intended toward any group), Jan residents, and so on.

But lately, it feels like absolutely everyone is into it...
It’s almost impossible to go out to a club without someone cranking up some obnoxious, twangy anthem and having the whole room lose their minds. You hear garbage pop-country blasting from cars at every turn...
I'll head down to a local neighborhood bar one evening and they're playing total trash. And I'm talking about kids, sixteen to nineteen years old... they all know every single lyric by heart...

It’s practically become normal to end up in an Asylum or a Pasha club around 4:00 or 4:30 in the morning...

Honestly... I would love for a fan of this music to explain it to us.
Maybe I'm just slow, or maybe I just don't get it... What is so appealing about all of this? I've lost count of how many times I've heard, "If you want to hook up this weekend, just go to Pasha..." 😵

Look, I'm not dismissing it entirely. Every now and then, you find a song with decent lyrics or a good melody 😬 but at least 90% of it is just pure, unadulterated nonsense—low-class, mindless, and empty... 😢
The lyrics are so stupid they make your head spin... choruses that feel like they were written by someone with an IQ of 22.
I have no idea where it comes from... a close friend of mine often hosts these drinking sessions at his place, and then around 2:00 AM... he starts playing this exact kind of music. 😢

Yeah, I'm definitely curious too. That kind of music honestly gets my blood pumping...

I honestly can't wrap my head around it, but from what I've gathered, people seem to blow through the most cash when they're listening to country music. It’s like they feel this desperate need to flash their wealth just to prove everyone wrong 😬

I honestly think this is all happening because... you know, those families used to spend all their time tending sheep out in the rural hills and the countryside...🤣 but now, I guess the younger generations have finally moved down from the mountains and into the local coffee shops.🤣

The absolute worst part about this whole situation is that probably 80% of those people driving around have Thompson CDs sitting right next to their Cajki albums; they spend the entire month acting like tough guys just to line the pockets of $67

I honestly don't get the appeal of that mainstream country-pop stuff😕. Around here, we have plenty of that kind of music too—thankfully, it’s mostly confined to the outskirts for now (at least, that's the hope)—because I haven't heard a single club in downtown Chicago playing it yet, and let's pray it stays that way🙂

As for those parties where they start blasting it? That's a given... usually right after midnight once everyone is already pretty much wasted (maybe that's why people switch to it—they can't follow the lyrics to pop songs anymore, so they just go with the flow... hey, as long as you hit the notes, you're fine, right?)😉

I don't listen to trashy pop-country, but I know plenty of crews who get hyped up on that kind of music (if you can even call it that)😬 I wouldn't go so far as to say everyone listening to it is just some mindless hillbilly. Honestly, I think people embrace it because it provides an environment where they can easily "let loose" without being noticed 😁
And clearly, those crowds are lacking something.
After a grueling work week—where you're expected to be polished, versatile, and driven—people head out on the weekends to unwind and blow off steam. If they're lucky, they might get a free drink, or maybe a brawl and a stray bullet. 😲
Then there are the ones for whom this garbage is a family tradition, and those are the most hardcore. Genuine fans of whatever plastic pop star is trending, people who would literally die for these silicone icons 😁 😁

And you really think things work differently over in the West? Buahahahah... every single culture has its own version of trashy pop or loud, flashy music. I mean, seriously, how is country music—which everyone seems to listen to anyway—actually different from that cheap, flashy stuff? If you look at Rijec, the music is basically cut from the same cloth, and that's just our version of it. Or even rappers? Most of them can barely sing, they just mumble rhythmically, and I’d rather not get too loud about their lyrics either😁

It’s all the same thing in the end. Besides, where else are young adults supposed to go when they want to dance? They can't hit the clubs because those spots are run by fifteen-year-olds, there aren't many classic dance halls left, and finding a venue that actually lets you dance is a struggle, so they end up stuck with the local dive bars playing cheesy hits. You get cheap drinks, some music playing, and plenty of people to dance with—there's always enough guys and girls around, and the vibe is "good," so why complain? When I was younger, we used to hit up the old clubs back when they were everywhere; back then, the kids would head to Big Ben while the grown-ups went to the Saloon, unlike today where you see eighteen-year-olds acting like they own the Saloon😁. But honestly, we also used to go to those rural town festivals which were basically identical to the tacky modern bars we see now. You've got to give the younger generation somewhere to blow off steam, right?😈

My point was simply that this genre isn't considered mainstream entertainment in the West; rather, it serves as a sort of folk-flavored distraction for the working class. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that—heaven forbid a farmer needs a way to unwind!

Given that America remains a nation struggling with significant pockets of poverty and a population that is still very much finding its footing within the complexities of a modern democratic society, it shouldn't come as a surprise that such cheap, mindless entertainment is currently riding high in popularity. It will likely remain so for quite some time until the demographic landscape shifts significantly.

And that is the extent of my wisdom.

To be clear, I am not inherently opposed to country or folk music; in fact, I support its existence. Cheap entertainment is a necessity because, without it, a massive segment of the population—which is quite substantial here in the States—would lack an outlet to vent their frustrations, especially when they are forced to deal with the reality of earning a fraction of what people make abroad while facing nearly identical costs of living.

Country music is the only salvation! 😁

Look, if you aren't into folk music, you don't have to listen to it.

It’s a dead simple fix.

Anything else is just chasing windmills like Don Quixote.
