Heavy metal is what people listen to when they aren't tough enough for anything more aggressive. Every single person I know who listens to heavy metal is a complete loser who just locks themselves in their room playing video games (not even joking). There's one guy who's alright and likes to grab a drink. All in all, heavy metal doesn't deserve having "metal" in its name because it isn't actually metal. It's exactly what you were arguing about—metal is supposed to be solid and powerful, and unfortunately, heavy metal just isn't 👎

Oh please, you're acting like some hardcore metalhead elitist, shoving everyone into stereotypes. The thing is, I started out with old-school Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Pantera, etc., and eventually grew past them. Now, I'll throw on some Behemoth or Dark Tranquillity once in a while if I'm feeling it, but heavy metal is what I really appreciate.

And yeah, I have a drink almost every weekend (whenever work lets me).
