Don’t get me wrong—but you know what they say: life looks a lot brighter when you're too foolish to notice the cracks.
Maybe that's why nothing seemed to phase you back when you were young and reckless. Now that adulthood has hit—and a kid has joined the mix (bless them)—responsibility has arrived too. It's probably just that constant, low-level hum of stress that builds up over time. You might not even realize you're feeling it, but your body definitely does.
I’m starting to think this whole thing might be tied to my head—maybe my brain, or just psychological stuff—so if my doctor refers me somewhere, I’ll probably take it. I’ve never actually seen a psychologist before (aside from those mandatory school or military screenings, which were just formalities). Honestly, I’ve never even touched a sedative, not even during exams, despite knowing I get pretty anxious. I don't drink alcohol, skip the soda, don't smoke, and stay away from drugs. Maybe the real issue is that I *should* go see a psychiatrist and start drinking or using drugs just so I have an excuse for why I'm feeling this way when it happens.
I’ve also got this clicking sound behind my ears whenever I chew—kind of like sand grinding or those popping candy candies. Honestly, before reading your post, I figured it was totally normal; if I head in to see my doctor, I should probably bring it up. Might even try that trick with my girlfriend—maybe it’ll help. 😁
haha, I’m reading your post and feeling like I’m looking in a mirror... It’s almost identical to my experience. I’m 27—used to be pretty active in sports, but not so much anymore—and I deal with the heart palpitations, tingling in my left arm, cold hands and feet, sweaty palms... even the same vision issues, eye pressure, and light sensitivity. I mentioned it once to my doctor, he ran an EKG and basically told me everything was fine and that I just needed to find a girlfriend. Seriously, LOL. I don't really have any advice to offer, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on this thread.
Arm pain in Health ·
So, I’ve got this issue that feels psychological, even though it shows up physically:
Whenever I get a little worked up—whether it's stress, a sudden scare, or just getting too excited—I start feeling this pain radiating from my heart straight down my left arm. It follows a very specific path, almost like a single nerve firing from my chest, under my armpit, past the elbow, and ending right at my ring and pinky fingers. On top of that, those two fingers and half my hand feel a bit numb.
If anyone knows what might be going on, let me know. 🙂
Love as a fixed idea in Psychology ·
Being gay, I have this recurring habit of falling for people who are totally out of reach... it’s become a bit of a pattern at this point. I’ve actually been head over heels for unavailable people twice now—and honestly, I still haven't quite moved past it.

I mean, if we can have subforums for things like cheesy TV soaps, cycling, or Star Trek...
then there really should be one for the gay community too.

slywolf45 said:The Lies PDF covers everyone regardless of orientation—but since gay issues have their own unique nuances, they deserve a dedicated thread to discuss experiences, hurdles, discrimination, and things like that. And there is already a thread for that on Lies.

Just because gay men have one single thread on Lies where everything gets dumped—and I don't just mean the lesbian sex stuff—doesn't mean we actually gained any space. If anything, it feels more like being sidelined.
You admitted yourself how specific and complex the topic is, and since you're part of the community, you know this deserves its own subforum. It seems perfectly reasonable that when someone joins Lies, there’d be a dedicated section for the gay population. Sure, there are other sites and forums out there, but that shouldn't stop us from having our own space here. Look at any major site—they have subforums for law, psychology, even landscaping—so why not here?
The standard for starting a subforum should really just be the importance of the subject and user interest. Since the gay community makes up about 5-10% of the population and faces a lot of specific struggles, there should be a subforum for them.
I actually think it would make sense to have an entire standalone forum for the gay community—you know, a full forum rather than just a subforum, similar to how sites have sections for politics or cars. Because if we just get a subforum on Lies, it won't really be the right place to talk about activism or discrimination, given that Lies is primarily a sex forum...
Anyway, that's just my take—seems logical enough to me.

If those two threads were messy enough to be merged, then the mod clearly dropped the ball. If they got combined because people were posting graphic stuff—you know, sexual content and fighting—then one of those threads was already way too off-topic. And of course, the second I spoke up against it, the mod flagged my post as off-topic and nuked it instantly.

So, they’ve gone and merged these threads on the Lies forum—topics that have absolutely nothing to do with one another.
1. Discrimination against gay men
2. Lesbian sex
These used to be separate discussions, but now that they're lumped together, some guy complaining about discrimination is going to end up quoting stuff about lesbian sex and beatings...
Really brilliant logic there.
