She says she’s feeling this sharp, stabbing sensation. Honestly, I can’t quite wrap my head around why!

For quite some time now, a close friend of mine has been complaining about this persistent heartache. She’s only 22, so I find it hard to believe there's anything physically wrong, though I can't entirely rule it out. I've strongly suggested she go see a doctor for a checkup, but she's being incredibly stubborn about it and refuses to go.
Has anyone else ever dealt with a situation like this?
