When a topic like yours carries this much weight, it’s almost inevitable that the responses and perspectives will follow a predictable pattern. They're exactly what you'd expect. The real question is, where would your headspace be right now if people had actually voted differently than you anticipated? If you ended up exactly where I suspect you would, then you’ve really just achieved a hollow victory.

Exactly.
The Avengers are... hollow. Just a bloated blockbuster machine designed to churn out cash. At least that's how it feels to me. I haven't even sat through all of them because, frankly, I haven't felt the urge to catch an Avengers sequel since I saw the first one.
Even with all the fragmented sequels, Star Wars remains easily the best thing I've ever seen in that genre.
