Hey there!
Had my physical about five days ago, and some of my blood work came back outside the normal range. I could really use some help with the test interpretation.
Hematology
Hemoglobin 111 g/L (119-157)
Hematocrit 0.34 L/L (0.356-0.470)
MCV 78.0 fL (83.0-97.2)
RDW 16.5% (9.0-15.0)
Basophil granulocytes 0.1x10*9/L (0.00-0.06)
Basophil granulocytes 1.2 rel% (0-1)

Blood Chemistry
Creatinine 58 micromol/L (63-107)
Alanine aminotransferase 9 U/L (10-36)
Gamma-glutamyltransferase 8 U/L (9-35)

Everything else was totally fine, though these were right on the edge:
MCH 25.1pg (25-33.9)
MCHC 322 g/L (320-360)
Cholesterol 5 mmol/L (
I'm 46 and pretty much healthy. I don't smoke, maybe have a glass of wine or a shot if there's a celebration, I'm not on any meds (except an occasional Advil for headaches), and I'm carrying about 15 lbs of extra weight...
The internist at the clinic said I should probably get a CMP repeated in about two months just to see if these numbers are just daily fluctuations or what that even means...
All my other tests came back normal (thyroid hormones, urine, EKG, abdominal ultrasound, thyroid, breasts).
Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks for the tip! I was pretty much thinking the same thing, but I really needed a second opinion from someone who actually knows their stuff...

Appreciate it!

Thanks for the input!

Just one more thing...

Based on what I need to get done, am I actually gonna need a dedicated graphics card, or is integrated enough?

The guy over at Ellipse was trying to tell me I don't need it and that it’s a waste of money if I'm not using it. He tried to push this Lenovo B 70-80 on me—i3-5005U processor, Intel HD Graphics, 4 GB of RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive.
Look, I want a laptop that won't die on me in 4 or 5 years when I'm trying to run everything I mentioned in my first post. That’s why I’m a bit skeptical about just sticking with integrated graphics, but honestly, I'm no tech expert and I might just be overthinking things. So, I'm looking for some actual advice from someone who knows their stuff to clear this up for me ;-)

Thanks in advance!

A few months back, I was asking for advice here about picking out a laptop. Clearly, based on this thread title, I still haven't pulled the trigger.
I'm looking for some experts on here to give me their honest take on this specific model:

I want to use it to replace my current desktop. It'll mostly sit on my desk, but I'll need to lug it around once in a while.

Here's what I'm looking for:
- A 17.3'' screen (definitely prefer matte because of how the light hits my desk)
- Daily grind with Microsoft Office tools (mostly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)—I usually have a bunch of docs open at once
- Basic web stuff😉 (browsing, email, Skype...)
- Music and movies
- Needs to be smooth; I can't have it lagging when I have 2-3 tabs open in Mozilla
- My current desktop chokes whenever I try to play movies or YouTube videos, so I really want to avoid that nightmare moving forward.

I was originally eyeing a Dell Latitude, but that glossy screen is driving me crazy.

I'll probably pay in installments, and I'm thinking about adding an extended warranty if I go with this one.
The specs on this might be overkill for what I actually need, but I want to be certain I've got a machine that'll handle everything for the next 4-5 years. That is, if it actually lasts that long... you never know with these things.

Most people I know use HP laptops, so I don't really have anyone to ask about Lenovo based on actual experience.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance!
