Best laptop around $1,000?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been hunting for a new laptop for a while now, and I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger. Up until this point, I've been rocking my old Dell Inspiron N5010, and honestly, it’s been such a trooper through all these years, even if it is starting to struggle a little bit lately. I guess what I'm really looking for is something that’ll last me just as long—I don't want to be stuck buying another one in two years, you know? Most of my work involves editing high-res photos, using Adobe Illustrator, Ableton Live, and stuff like that. It would be super nice if it had an aluminum chassis instead of that cheap plastic feel, and ideally, I'd love something that isn't too heavy and has a battery that can actually hold up for a few hours (though I suppose I could probably manage without that). I was thinking about getting a MacBook, but then I realized I might be able to get a way better machine for the same amount of money. Plus, I have a soft spot for Dell, so I'm leaning that way. My budget is around $2333
