Quick question about RAM compatibility in Desktops ·
Hey everyone

Finally decided to bump up my RAM after ages. Thinking about swapping out my old 4GB sticks for some 8GB DDR3-1333...

I'm rocking a Dell Inspiron motherboard and honestly—can't afford a whole new rig right now. Checked the manual on the ASUS site, but I can't find any of the listed RAM in stock anywhere locally, and I can't really swing ordering stuff online from places like eBay or Amazon either.

Couldn't dig up anything useful online regarding which specific sticks actually work with this board. Since I'm definitely not a hardware expert, figured I'd come here and ask for some help...

Anyone know if there's even a way to upgrade this thing? Like, can I just grab newer RAM and hope it doesn't fry my setup or cause a massive headache?

For example—would these be okay?

If anyone's got compatible RAM sitting around they want to sell, let me know...

Here's the compatibility list from the ASUS site:

Thanks in advance👍
