So, anyone else hearing about our guys getting picked up? I know of this one dude who got detained just because he was standing in the wrong spot at the wrong time—basically his first time ever being in New York City, no prior record, zero complaints filed against him... and somehow he’s looking at 30 days of pretrial detention. Get this: yesterday, they were originally hauling him in for allegedly assaulting an officer and obstructing justice, but now they’ve suddenly swapped the charge to MASSIVE DISRUPTION OF PUBLIC ORDER AND PEACE... 😲 which is a brand new offense under the Penal Code. From what I’m hearing, he’s the only guy from Miami facing 30 days right now.
