Dealing with thrombophlebitis

So, I had this routine surgery recently, and I ended up with these 24-hour bruises stretching from my left hand all the way up to my elbow—really nasty stuff. Now, a dark line has appeared, along with some pain and these weird little lumps
After seeing the doctor and getting a diagnosis, they put me on some heparin gel, but honestly? It’s not doing a thing. If anything, the vein feels thicker and more swollen, and these lumps... they're kind of migrating around, appearing in different spots every time I check
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Any advice or experiences you could share?
