Look, you don't need to grow up...
I mentioned before that I just don't get how anyone can still be into that kind of music after they hit 16.
The reality is, it’s pretty mediocre stuff that mostly just feeds that teenage rebellious streak. But I guess as we age, we learn things and try to evolve in all sorts of ways, including our taste in music.
Punk just doesn't really cut it for me anymore.
I'm speaking from experience here. I have so many friends who are still stuck in their 30s, and they haven't moved an inch past listening to Pistols, Exploited, and stuff like that... (just basic examples, honestly, I can't even remember everything we blasted when we were kids) and it’s actually kind of sad to watch.
But again, that's just my take. These are just things I see in people around me, so it definitely doesn't apply to every middle-aged punk out there.

Oh, freedom... you just don't get it. It all starts with having the right mindset and some real drive.
Maybe try starting some kind of "reformed cooperative" (if I'm guessing right from your nickname, maybe you still come from those types of groups), and then join up with your buddies as a self-manager. That’s where the rebellion actually happens—though, honestly, you did just call yourself a wimp earlier.
Once you've done that, start spreading those "reformed cooperatives" all the way to London and beyond. That's how you'll find your way into that scene, not to mention all the comrades who'll be cheering and shouting your name along the way.

Um... I'm probably not going to be counting on you as long as you're still wearing those trashed jeans. 😳

Look, everyone has their own taste. If you don't like him that much, that's fine. But, I guess since Jeremy Kim57 and I actually like her, I have to say I agree—it would be pretty tough to capture that specific atmosphere and dynamic any other way. There's really no chance.
It would probably just end up being some mediocre remake...
Take someone like Kubrick, who is generally considered a better director than Tarantino and isn't nearly as controversial... He relies so much on atmosphere and that predictable filming style.
There are plenty of other examples, too. But I don't think you should be such a movie snob and try to flex on a girl just because she doesn't share your opinion.
