Deleting posts in the Zambia thread in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Not much to report here.

A while back, I started a thread regarding the practice of deleting posts without any prior warning or explanation, especially when those posts are part of a discussion within the same subforum. So far, the moderation team seems to be ignoring the topic entirely; I suppose it might be because they aren't quite sure how to respond, so it feels easier for them to just treat us like fools instead.

Ryan Ruiz95 said:Why does the forum keep logging me out constantly?
I can barely finish typing a single post before I get kicked off,
and sometimes I have to try logging in ten different times just to get the credentials to work.
Even when I finally manage to submit a post, I'm immediately logged out right after.

I’m actually running into the exact same issues. There are huge problems with the login process here; even if you do manage to get in, the site tends to log you out on its own after just a minute or two. It’s happening again right now while I’m trying to write this.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that the entire forum seems to have "frozen" somewhere in the past—I’d say it happened yesterday around 5:30 PM. Since then, the page occasionally refreshes, but most of the time, it keeps claiming the latest posts were all made around 5:30 PM yesterday, which obviously isn't true.

I can't help but wonder, though, why there seems to be such an intense rush to get this settled right away. 🤔
Adobe COVID-19 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Matthew Jackson2 said:The issue with this Adobe file is that it doesn't actually belong to any single category; it’s more like a chaotic cocktail of everything under the sun—health, social issues, politics, the economy, science, philosophy... you name it.

I honestly think the whole concept was doomed from the get-go because there isn't a logical home for it now. Instead of trying to jam everything into one massive document, we should have just tackled specific topics within their respective subreddits, using the Adobe file merely as a curated collection of links to those discussions. If we just shut down this particular thread, every topic would finally land exactly where it belongs. For instance, under the economics section, we'd still have active threads debating how both COVID-19 and the subsequent government mandates impacted the economy—which remains a vital conversation, especially when you consider the current inflation rates we're all dealing with.

I suppose I have to agree. The political and economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic will likely remain a relevant topic for many years to come.

Even if you look at the epidemiological data—though I wonder how many people actually bother to follow those daily reports anymore—the context remains incredibly significant, regardless of how much effort is being made right now to sweep everything under the rug.

Then again, I guess it’s also true that most people have simply reached their breaking point and just don't care about any of it anymore...

I suppose it might be worth considering a more skeptical perspective regarding the war in Ukraine. 😁
Joe Biden, President of the United States vol. V in Political Scene ·
Linda Harris59 said:Oh, absolutely. The fault lies with the subsequent leaders, isn't it? And why wouldn't it? It's because Joe purged everyone within the party who showed even a shred of leadership potential just so he could protect his own seat. By the time he finally walked away, he left behind nothing but a crippled, sinking ship.

I guess you'll have to name a few of them for me.

Live invasion map:

It’s quite fascinating to look at, especially since I seem to recall seeing a different map on the news yesterday that suggested Russia had secured a significantly larger amount of territory.

Wait, seriously???

🤦

Thanks for the heads-up, Captain Obvious.

I'm just wondering, though—why wouldn't those posts be counted?

Quincy:
I honestly think the Republican Party understands the average person's mindset and they play that hand really well. You don't just "accidentally" win back power after so many failures. There's actually something to be learned from them...
Actually, no, they don't understand the nature of the average person at all, because the average person isn't inherently corrupt or shameless. Those types are outliers. And those outliers make up their voter base.
If you do some basic math comparing their membership numbers to the votes they pull in, the result is pretty obvious: they're being voted for by their own members and families—a group that expects direct favors in return.
So yeah, I'm done with that whole "they know what makes an average person tick" argument.
It's a fascinating organization, really—the bottom feeders smelled opportunity, banded together, multiplied, and there you have it: a voting bloc.

The latest polling data really sheds light on the kind of crowd we're dealing with here.

A huge chunk of them are against COVID certificates and against vaccinations, but none of that actually matters because they feel obligated to vote for the Republican Party no matter what.

You would think they might at least try to send a message through public opinion polls, but I suppose not.

There’s just no backbone or conviction there. It’s nothing more than a collection of small-minded cowards and mental communists.

I guess the Republican Party is just that popular lately; everyone seems to want a piece of them

Goodness gracious, the Democratic Party and the Libertarian Party teaming up to govern.

The Republican Party really does seem capable of anything, doesn't it?

Though, I guess it might finally explain why that rather decadent Libertarian Party managed to emerge from bankruptcy back on October 7th, 2021.

I’m curious, just how much of a drop in support do you all anticipate seeing for this criminal administration in the next round of polling?

-0.3%?
-0.2%?
-0.1%?
0%?
0.1%?

Edward Cooper2 said:Bačić served as a state secretary, then became the Republican Party's chief of staff, plotting with Kosorica over funds that supposedly didn't exist on paper.
Joe Biden was a state secretary, even if he wasn't an official party member.
Mike Johnson used to be a minister and sat on the Republican National Committee (he seems like the weakest link in this whole saga to me).
Đakić was a member of Congress.
Marić was a state secretary, despite being outside the party.
Bošnjaković held a state secretary position.
Obulja Koržinek worked as an assistant minister.
Borić was an assistant minister...
And now... they’re all claiming they had no idea what was happening. If they truly were in the dark, then we have a massive problem...

The political potential and the talent pool within the Republican Party remain virtually unchanged from 2007 to this very day.

The voters haven't changed either.

The membership base is just as it was.

Yet, Plenković's rhetoric regarding the untarnished reputation of the Republican Party still seems to find an easy audience. I guess we simply don't deserve anything better.
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Is there even any connection left between today's Republican Party and the one back in 2007?

I mean, just think about how many people who used to vote for that kleptomaniac Dad are now casting their ballots for Plenković.

It’s probably a massive number, I suppose.

The same folks who were out there campaigning for Dad are now backing Plenković.

I guess you could say the Republican Party crowd lacks sincerity, if not with others, then certainly with themselves.

As for Bačić, he isn't really relevant to anything, but honestly, you have to be incredibly shameless to even try and weigh in on this topic.
Banned from Reddit in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I suppose the absolute worst part of all this is how they just shut down threads and wipe posts, handing out bans and kicking people from the entire subforum without providing even a shred of explanation or a single message. It seems like this has become the standard operating procedure now.

Meanwhile, when it comes to rule-breaking on the "other side," everyone just seems to look the other way.

And then you’re stuck having to whine on the PŽK for days on end just to pressure one of the admins into actually saying something at all.

These are truly dark days for this forum.

Christian Torres3 said:"I honestly thought these elections would finally be our chance to let our Washington, D.C. organization run a real democratic process—one where we actually pick the best people based on merit, not just whoever gets the most top-down pressure or shady campaigning. But instead of actual prep work, this whole thing is just blatant intimidation and playing favorites for one specific team. It’s happening everywhere, from official city websites down to local community meetings," unknown wrote in a scathing Facebook post. "Even Zhukov and Berry wouldn't be ashamed of an election process this rigged! Is this really who you surround yourself with? Is this your policy? I don't know what's worse: if you actually know about this forced election process or if you're genuinely clueless. It might not matter much in small towns, but here in the heart of the nation's ideas—in America, specifically Washington, D.C.—it matters immensely! This mockery of a process is trickling down from the city level to the local branches like some kind of circus act. It's an embarrassment to the Republican Party and all of us, and frankly, it's an insult to anyone with half a brain." link

Republican Party my ass...

Kujundžić is really just someone stating the obvious at this point.

It’s somewhat fascinating, I suppose, how it seems like the Republican crowd is always the very last group to realize when something is fundamentally broken within the system.

And then, once they finally do catch on, most of them just stubbornly cling to being part of such a dysfunctional organization.

The guy strikes me as a bit of a pretender, acting like some sort of opportunistic politician who thinks he’s incredibly perceptive about shifting political winds, when he's really just reacting to whatever direction the wind happens to be blowing at that moment...

Frank Martin2 said:Personally, I’m just relieved they finally moved away from that crude profanity.
I suppose the person who thought it was funny was probably trying to be edgy, but as we might say in the rural South—there's such a thing as going too far, and it just doesn't land well.

So, is this new direction actually an improvement over the previous insults?

We are essentially quoting a sweeping, baseless statement from some random nobody that is incredibly defamatory and overly generalized. On top of that, it contains a massive logical fallacy; I think anyone who even briefly brushed up on basic logic in high school would immediately spot the glaring error and find it quite an affront to common sense.

Alright, I appreciate the clarification. 😁

However, I still find myself struggling to understand the reason behind insisting that these threads were unlocked just yesterday—and perhaps even leaning into that false claim as if it somehow serves a purpose—when they clearly weren't.

I suppose I'm not the only one on this forum who seems to have caught onto this somewhat clumsy attempt at... well, whatever it was you were trying to do.

The topic was still active as of this morning, so I’m not quite sure why everyone is acting so clueless 🤣

Protests against the mandates and Media coverage during the pandemic are still locked tight.

So, I really don't follow what you're getting at here.

But hey, I do appreciate the effort to try and unlock these threads, even if it seems like it's mostly because there aren't many actual arguments left to make.

P.S. Let's not muddy the waters; someone just unlocked the first thread moments ago. 👍

Honestly, you're making yourself look pretty foolish. 😁
