I am looking for some solid monitor recommendations. I’m currently putting together a desktop build specifically for 1440p gaming, though I'll also be using it to watch movies from time to time. A 27-inch screen is my ideal size, provided it hits at least 144Hz. Up until now, I’ve always stuck with IPS panels, but I honestly have no idea how the other panel types stack up when it comes to a mix of cinematic viewing and high-performance gaming. As for the internals, I’ll be running an RTX 2080 Super or an RTX 2080 paired with an Intel i7-9700K. Since I plan on picking up an ASUS motherboard and GPU, I am debating whether it makes sense to stick with an ASUS monitor as well to keep everything consistent. Any advice?

I am looking for an honest assessment regarding the maximum resale value I can expect for this setup, both as a complete bundle with peripherals and as a standalone tower. Please provide your input. 😁

About a year and a half ago, I dropped $4,000 just on the tower itself. I was under the impression that if I bundled it with the monitor, speakers, and mouse, I could probably squeeze out at least $4,700 from a buyer... but honestly, looking at the big picture, selling the whole setup just isn't worth the headache. 😁

I am looking at ordering a configuration roughly like this... I'm running a 1920x1080 Full HD display and I need to know exactly what kind of performance to expect across the board. Furthermore, given that this thread is somewhat dated, I want to know if there have been any significant shifts in pricing or if there are any active sales I should be aware of before I pull the trigger. 🙂))

Looking for an evaluation on this older setup..
Everything in this configuration functions perfectly; while the onboard Ethernet port is dead, I’ve already picked up a dedicated network card, so there isn't really a problem there..
I managed to get GTA IV and Assassin's Creed running on this machine—not exactly smooth, obviously, but playable enough.. Given that it can actually launch titles like that, I'm curious to know what kind of price I might realistically fetch for this build....
