This is honestly the best video I've come across lately, and it was exactly what I needed to really wrap my head around this whole situation.
Based on how things went down, if they had applied the same rules from Indy, Alonso would have been handed a drive-through penalty... though I'm glad that didn't happen because he didn't deserve it.
From what I can see, Kimi's front wing was already ahead of Fernando's rear left tire before the contact actually happened.
The most important part to watch is from 0:34 to 0:40.
Kimi isn't to blame at all here; it's really on Alonso for causing the collision. He definitely had enough room to make the move, but he just kept pressing Kimi regardless. Besides, the stewards looked into it and decided there wasn't any illegal driving involved.
What a driver, and what a bunch of fans—just a bunch of crybabies.😁 🤣 😂
If you ask me, this whole mess cost Alonso the championship.☕
