Dealing with Dupuytren's contracture in Health ·
I’m looking for some advice here.

My wife, who is 44, has already undergone three different surgeries on her right hand—specifically involving the tendons near her pinky—over the last three years.
The diagnosis is as follows:
Status post partial resection of the palmar fascia of the right hand (Dupuytren's contracture)
Status post resection of the fibrosis of the fourth and fifth digits of the right hand

If things continue to deteriorate like this, I’m wondering if there is any actual guidance available beyond just finding a new career path. Her current employer doesn't offer light-duty options, which essentially means she's facing a choice between resigning or being let go.
She currently has a referral to see a rheumatologist regarding non-specific polyarthritis.
She also consulted a private orthopedic specialist who basically told her she’s just having a run of bad luck and needs more surgery before the condition can even be managed.

Greetings from Indianapolis.
