So, for a few years now—maybe three times a year or so—I get this sharp, stabbing sensation right in my chest area. It's on my right side, roughly where my heart would be, and out of nowhere, it just starts poking at me. I have to stay completely still and calm until it passes, but honestly, I can't tell if it's actually my heart or just some muscle strain in my chest. It hurts, but it's manageable; the thing is, if I try to take a deep breath while it's happening, the stinging gets way worse, and the same goes for if I try to lift my left arm. This happens maybe 3 or 4 times a year, and each episode lasts anywhere from one to three minutes, but I'm just stuck wondering if it's muscular or cardiac... I get that too, that uncomfortable ache that makes you constantly worry it's your heart, even though it probably isn't...
It happens when a chest muscle gets pinched between two ribs, creating that exact sensation...
I've never heard of it being heart pain...😉
