Hey, don't worry about it too much. It’s basically bliss, honestly—I feel the exact same way, just on both sides. At first, I actually thought I had some kind of lumps because it felt incredibly firm, but now that two weeks have passed, things are starting to shrink. For what it's worth, my right side is actually more swollen than my left. Anyway, it'll pass. 😁

It was pretty traumatic for me too. My sister mentioned she’d never seen anyone get so close to tears while having their cast removed.😂
To be honest, while I was sneezing with the cast still on, I was convinced everything inside had shifted and my nose bump would be right back.🤣🤣
But seeing the final result... I was honestly speechless.

I get that exact same feeling. You described it perfectly—that swaying sensation. For me, it was really intense at first, but it's definitely tapering off now. I've noticed that if I stand for too long or sit straight up without leaning my head back, my nose feels more congested and that swaying gets worse. I'm pretty sure it'll pass eventually...

@Kate Taylor59/">@@Kate Taylor59 - I'm 18 too 🙂, so if you do decide to go through with the surgery, don't let the recovery scare you. I guess those first couple of days dealing with the swelling is pretty rough and you might feel like you're dying 🤣, but once you take everything off after about three days, things settle down. For me, even taking it off wasn't bad. You can breathe again and get back to your normal self. And trust me, once that garment comes off, it's all worth it 😍

For me, taking the wrap off was actually kind of traumatic—not because of the pain, but more mentally. When I finally looked in the mirror, I was squinting, almost afraid to open my eyes. But when I did... wow, what a surprise, right? 😁

Alright, checking back in. It’s been about 10 days since my surgery with Dr. Toncic, and I took the mold off two days ago. Honestly, I am beyond happy with how my nose turned out—really no complaints at all 🙏🙏 My nose is still pretty swollen, especially on the right side, but I know that'll settle down. Dr. Toncic mentioned that about 30% of the swelling usually subsides within the first two months. Anyway, I told you guys I’d post some photos here, so here they are, just keeping my word. I wanted to share because reading through this Forum actually gave me the courage to go through with it when I was on the fence. Looking back, it was definitely the right call. Like I mentioned in my last post, having family support is huge; I totally agree that without their blessing and encouragement, this whole process would have been way more overwhelming 😍😍
So, that's the update from me...
P.S. I also went and got a new hairstyle today 😁😁

Regarding the pain, I didn't really experience much myself, though I took some over-the-counter pain relief just to be safe. I was worried about the packing being removed, but it was honestly painless. Did they tell you to pick up those compresses at CVS? They really help with the swelling; try to keep them on as long as possible.
Don't stress about your nose yet. Everything is still super distorted right now and that tip shape will settle over time, so there's no reason to panic already 🙂 (though, truth be told, I find myself panicking and checking mine through that tiny little hole every single second 😁).
Once I get home after my cast comes off, I'll upload some photos.🙂

So, I ended up going with Dr. Toncic for my surgery on December 29th—yeah, I actually pulled the trigger. He honestly thought I was losing it when I showed up for my consultation and asked if he could just operate the very next day. He did have an opening, though, which I guess is only because nobody else crazy enough wanted to get surgery right before New Year's. Anyway, I’m getting my bandages removed this Wednesday, so fingers crossed everything turns out okay. I brought him a photo of the nose I was aiming for just to be safe. 😁 He kept it real with me and told me straight up that it wouldn't look quite right because of my fuller figure. I actually really respect him for being honest about it. I realized he tailors every nose to fit the person's overall look, which is honestly impressive. It’s a huge difference compared to Glumicic, who just seems to churn out the exact same nose for everyone. 😁 😁 I'm praising him already, even though I haven't even seen the nose yet. I guess I just hope it turns out well.
How was your surgery? Do you actually remember anything? I think I woke up a couple of times, but honestly, I didn't feel any pain at all—not once. The only thing that was slightly uncomfortable was when they were applying the local anesthetic in my nose, but even that wasn't too bad. I didn't even end up with much bruising. Maybe it’s because my procedure wasn't particularly complicated; it only took about 45 minutes.

So, I just finished scrolling through all 171 pages of this forum 😍 and I have to say, thanks to everything you ladies have shared here 🙏🙏🙏, I’ve finally narrowed my choices down to two surgeons. It's down to Dr. Toncic and Glumicic. Dr. Toncic seems more accessible regarding the price, though I cooled off a bit after seeing some of his results online. On the other hand, maybe Glumicic gives everyone that same slightly upturned nose, but honestly, that’s the look I want. Even if it looks a little fake, it would still be better than my current beak 😁, and I think it might give me a softer overall look.

Why them specifically? Mostly because nobody here has said anything majorly negative about them or had a terrible experience. For some other surgeons I was looking at, someone mentioned getting permanent lumps after surgery or simply not getting the nose they actually wanted, which definitely turned me off. With Dr. Toncic, my only real hesitation is the tip of the nose; looking at his photos, I’m worried he doesn't refine the tip enough. Maybe I'm wrong? Perhaps if someone has such a wide tip, it's just harder to work with 🤷. I really hope that's not the case. Another thing that bugs me—based on what I've read in your posts—is that his son usually handles the consultations instead of Dr. Toncic himself. I'm a little unsure how accurately he'll communicate my specific wishes to his father. I worry that by choosing Dr. Toncic because he's cheaper than Glumicic by about $1333, I might end up regretting it later. Looking at the long term, maybe price isn't the most important factor. Then again, reading their summaries, both seem quite experienced, so cost shouldn't be the deciding factor. I guess I wonder why Dr. Toncic is so much more affordable than Glumicic? I just hope it isn't due to lower quality 😲

I'm quoting a section here in case anyone is curious about the costs: "The price for rhinoplasty is..." $3667 You can pay via credit card (Maestro, Master, Visa, Diners, or American Express) in monthly installments ranging from 2 to 12 months, or through consumer loans with 2 to 60 installments, depending on which card you're using. If you prefer to pay in cash, the price is... $3333We offer a pretty significant discount if you pay in cash. If you decide to combine the aesthetic work with the functional part—meaning a septoplasty to fix the nasal septum—the total price for the procedure would be... $4400 Regarding card payments, huh? $4000 For cash payments, the examination fee is... $83."

He recommended this one site specifically for international clients that features his before-and-after shots. Honestly, I think it’s a much better resource than his actual main website; on his official page, my nose looks a little unfinished, though maybe that was just what those women were looking for.

So, I’ve been playing around with things a bit, but I think I messed up the tip of my nose. Still, this is basically the look I’m going for overall. Once I get a little more practice in, I'll probably take a photo to a consultation to see what they think.

I just stumbled upon a pretty handy little program online—sort of like Adobe Photoshop, but way more straightforward. It seems useful for anyone considering surgery who wants a rough idea of what the end result might look like. I was actually thinking about bringing some of these images to a surgeon, just so I can be crystal clear about what I'm looking for when we talk. 🙂
