Brenda Reed3 said:Since you just had surgery, it’s perfectly normal for your nose to look larger—the swelling naturally makes the face feel more centered around the nose. It should probably shrink by about a full size over the next year. The main thing is that you achieved the shape you were aiming for; even for me, the results weren't "wow" immediately after the procedure.
I recall my doctor mentioning I also had a hematoma—he actually suggested he might need to drain the clotted blood to resolve it.
As for those tiny, invisible bumps you can feel when touching the area—that's standard. I know even Ciganović deals with something similar.😁
So, did you go to see Džepina? How does your nose look now? And is he practicing at a major hospital or in a private clinic?
Brenda Carter24 said:People talk about how Glumicic performed a stroke of genius with Blanka Vlašić's nose. It’s been five months since my surgery, and am I satisfied? Even after my initial praise of Boriću-nisam! A few months back, this slight bump appeared on my nose—it looks like a subcutaneous pimple. Even though I’ve already gone back to him several times for those sessions with that useless little light, it has shrunk, sure, but it’s still there. It's awful! It’s not that it’s glaringly obvious or looks grotesque, but when I dropped 10 $0.00, I expected a flawless result. In the end, he didn't deliver the exact nose I asked for, and now I have an added complication. Look, the nose fits my face fine and all, but it irritates me that my specific requests were ignored. So, they tell me I have to wait a full year and keep going for these "light treatments," but I have zero intention of throwing more $667 at these "procedures." I have no idea what to do about this bump... and I certainly don't plan on paying for another surgery. I’ll see how it looks in a few months, then perhaps I'll try something else or find someone else to fix this. I just knew this kind of nonsense would happen to me. Does anyone have any advice?
Hey, what's the status with that bump? Has it cleared up?
What exactly is a hematoma? What am I looking at here—is this something that’s actually going to clear up? And more importantly, why does this even happen in the first place? I know, I know—it's a lot of questions—but honestly, this kind of stuff is what really gets under my skin. I have zero desire to end up looking disfigured.

They really ought to display some portfolio shots—it makes zero sense why he doesn't have them on his own website. At the very least, there should be a few samples so you can get a general sense of his aesthetic style. Have you actually sat down for a consultation with someone yet?
I’m heading into my first round of consultations now with specialists like Maletić and Boriću-nisam—and potentially someone else, though I haven't decided who since everyone seems to be dodging blame for something... Who would you recommend in the NYC area? Maybe Glumičić?
I’ve heard similar things about it being a solid option—but without any actual photos to look at, I’m essentially flying blind regarding the results. For those of you who have actually been to Santa Barbara, could you tell me if the doctor typically shows photos of their previous work during the initial consultation? And is that something you have to specifically ask for, or does it just happen naturally?
Honestly, I’m still torn between Maletic and Boriću—and since there’s absolutely zero chatter about Maletic on the forums, I really have no idea what to expect from him, even if he seems like a decent guy on paper. I’m willing to take the risk, but my one major concern is dealing with those capillaries, lumps, and other nonsense down the road. I mean, what’s the point of paying for these high-end procedures just to end up stuck with a lump anyway?
Brenda Reed3 said:No one has ever brought up those broken capillaries before—I honestly thought I was the only one dealing with them. They aren't incredibly obvious, just right at the base of my nose... I kept hoping they would just vanish, but clearly, if they haven't cleared up in a few years, they aren't going anywhere. 😁
So you have them too? 🙂
I don't actually have them—it's just that I've been reading that they can show up after surgery. It makes me nervous; I really don't want to pour all this money into a procedure only to end up with a nose that looks just as bad as before, especially since I'm planning on getting an operation later on. One doctor told me it shouldn't be an issue because the surgery happens beneath the skin layer where the capillaries live, but now I'm stuck wondering what to believe. Did you actually go through with the nose job? And who was your surgeon?
I’m not sure what age group most of you fall into—it’s a different world at different stages of life—but I am personally struggling with how to break the news to my family about an upcoming surgery. I’m only 23, and since I’m paying for the procedure out of my own pocket, I should technically be independent; however, I know full well there is going to be a massive argument once they find out. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this with minimal friction? I want to get through this without the unnecessary drama—parents tend to overreact and spiral into worry regardless of the circumstances.
Has anyone else here dealt with broken capillaries on their nose—and more importantly—did you end up stuck with permanent redness or some other kind of lasting mark?
By the way, could you tell me if you had to stop smoking for a few days before the procedure? I was reading that it can mess with how the anesthesia works—and frankly, I have zero desire to die on the operating table...
What exactly is that lump made of? I don't see the point in undergoing surgery if the mass just resurfaces anyway—it seems counterproductive. Which specialist did you go to for the procedure?
Has anyone here actually gone through a prostatectomy, and does anyone have insight into whether the recovery issues are linked directly to the surgery itself or perhaps the anesthesia used?
steelangler88 and Raymond Wells2 I have no idea if you two managed to sort out that bump following the surgery, but I certainly know why it happened. Consider this quote from Dr. Maletic: "These recurring humps indicate the procedure wasn't performed adequately. Essentially, fragments of bone and cartilage were left behind—which, combined with blood, leads to the formation of clots and connective tissue that rebuild the protrusion. In short: removing every single fragment and flushing the area with saline is the only way to prevent this. All of these steps are fundamental to the operation itself."
Has anyone actually dealt with Žgaljardić before? What’s his deal? I just sent him an email—he says he’s available for an OP between 6 PM and 8 PM $0.00. Isn't that a bit excessive???
Oh, one more thing if anyone knows—does an OP involve breaking your nose or not? Just the thought of it is giving me anxiety
