Jesse Taylor7, what exactly is going on with your skin? Are we looking at broken capillaries here? What was his take—is it actually going to clear up? I am truly glad you're satisfied!
Maria Diaz79 said:Are there any actual cures for this—specifically anything targeting nasal lymphatic drainage? How many sessions does it typically take to see results? Does anyone have a specialist they can recommend?
What exactly is that procedure, and what is the clinical reasoning behind doing it?
I’m heading in for my consultation on the 28th, but I just realized the waitlist for surgery is running about two months long—honestly, I don't even know if he remembers the specifics of what we discussed regarding my goals. I was under the impression there might be some follow-up scheduling or a final agreement right before the procedure, but clearly, I miscalculated. Also, quick question: should I have cash ready in dollars, or does it really matter how I pay?
Jesse Taylor7, when did you actually sign your contract? Was it right after those initial consultations, or did you wait? And honestly, how many consultation sessions are even required before you pull the trigger?
Grace Hernandez66 said:It’s been 9 days since my surgery and the base of my nose still hurts—it throbs occasionally and looks a bit red, so I’ve been using cold compresses on the area. Can anyone who had nasal bone fractures chime in? Is this normal? Everything else has gone down significantly, so I can't tell if I'm dealing with a localized hematoma or something else.
Did they take the splint off yet? How does the nose actually look—are you happy with the result?
Maria Diaz79 said:I just changed my tampon today. Nothing major to report—no bleeding. I can feel the swelling finally starting to subside. It was actually a relief to catch a whiff of my own scent again 😉.
Have you looked at your nose lately? Does it look upturned? Did he mention anything about lifting it or whatever? And does Glumicic actually show off photos of his work?
Ladies, thank you all so much for the advice—you’ve been incredibly helpful! I have my consultation this coming 28th, and if everything goes well, I’ll be scheduling the surgery right after. Honestly, I feel like I’m running out of questions to ask the doctor—between reading these threads and doing my own research, I feel like an expert already. I suppose I’ll have to dig deep to find some fresh concerns before then! Thanks again! Please keep me posted on your own progress!
Maria Diaz79 said:Linda, you could always crash at the Glumicics' place for a few days. A full day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner included—runs about $80, but make sure you give them a heads-up first. From what I can tell, they don't have an endless supply of beds, and they get a lot of visitors dropping by from out of town.
Thanks for the tip. By the way, how did your surgery go? Please, let me know how it went!! I realize you probably aren't up to typing much yet, but as soon as you find some strength, reach out!!!! I’m really hoping everything went smoothly!
Jamie Mitchell13 said:Hi there. Has anyone here actually seen Dr. Barbara? What’s his bedside manner like—is he polite? Are people actually happy with the results? I'm thinking about booking an appointment, so I'd love to know if it's worth the wait.
A few women have already shared their experiences regarding him on this forum—mostly that two or three ended up with some sort of lumps after seeing him. That’s exactly why I decided to pass on him altogether.
Jamie Mitchell13 said:Does anyone happen to know if it’s possible to pay for surgery in installments—or is it strictly cash upfront? Also, who would you recommend for this kind of procedure? 🙂
You can manage that with most providers—except when you're dealing with someone like Smith—but let's be real: once you start opting for installment plans, you're essentially paying a premium for the privilege.

Honestly, I am beyond thrilled with the results. The pain was brief; it only hit me right after I woke up from anesthesia, likely because they hadn't administered enough pain management initially. It was quite intense, but the nurses stepped in immediately with an injection, which resolved it instantly. Having the packing in for five days was hands down the worst part of the entire ordeal—breathing through my mouth all night is just miserable. For the first couple of days, my throat was incredibly sore because of it; I could barely eat properly, and I’d wake up every hour just to drink water because my throat felt so parched. I was counting down the minutes until that packing came out. While many people describe the removal as agonizing, for me, it wasn't painful at all—just a fleeting, uncomfortable sensation. However, removing the cast was actually quite painful because the plaster had completely fused to my nose; they practically had to force it off. I feel like all my miseries were wiped away 🤣, because the moment I looked in the mirror, the pain vanished 😁. I used to have a significant bump, and my nose was larger and crooked. Now, everything is corrected—I have this cute, slightly upturned little nose that fits my face perfectly. My thanks to Nelson for recommending Dr. 😉, I am truly satisfied. What else should I mention... oh, right, I barely had any bruising. A small yellow spot under my left eye cleared up after five days, and there’s almost no swelling. It’s been 20 days since the procedure, and it looks like it’s always been this way. The stitches are starting to fall out on their own. My only precaution now is making sure I don't accidentally bump it with my hand or snag it on a shirt while changing. Anyway... I hope this post helps someone, as I know how much these threads helped me when I was still on the fence about having the surgery . 👋
Did you just go for cosmetic work, or did you have a septoplasty done too? And what was the final cost? Also, how long is the typical hospital wait time?
