The acid phosphatase level is 6441 H kU/l—well above the normal range of 250-1300—so it's significantly elevated. I'm waiting for my husband to get back from his business trip before he heads to see a urologist.
Does anyone know how the referral process works here? Does he need to see his primary care physician first to get a referral for a specialist, or can he just book an appointment with a urologist directly—similar to how we might choose a gynecologist or a dentist?
