Windows, on the other hand, is a bit more selfish—it mostly just cares about itself. Since Linux was around first with its own boot manager, it basically took over the driver's seat. By deleting those partitions, you're clearing the slate so you can have a totally clean start with Windows...
If you've got a digital Windows license, it should automatically activate once the installation is finished (just double-check that, though...).
I'm gonna give that a shot. My license is digital, I just have the product key to punch in. Fingers crossed it actually works. 🙂

That noise you're hearing might just be the hard drive—assuming it's an old-school HDD and not an SSD—or maybe the fans are just spinning up fast at startup before the laptop throttles them down...

Finally got into the boot menu, and I've just got two choices: Windows Boot Manager and Endless OS.
The first one boots straight into Windows, but when I pick EO, I just get a black screen with a bunch of command lines.
Everything seems to work, but the laptop keeps making this weird noise every 30 seconds—like a CD drive spinning up, even though this thing doesn't even have a disc drive built-in.
No clue what the deal is.

Just grabbed a new laptop and did a clean Windows install via USB.
The one thing I totally blanked on was changing the boot order so it hits the drive instead of the thumb drive. Now I can't even get back into the boot menu—every time I power up and mash F12 (or fn + F11), nothing happens and the machine just boots straight into Windows.
It’s driving me crazy because I can hear the drive constantly trying to load stuff.
How the hell do I get into that menu? 🕺

The only thing I've noticed now is that my PC feels kinda sluggish when I'm online. Like, if I type something in the search bar and hit enter, it takes like half a minute before it even starts searching. Then the next one goes through instantly, but by the third or fourth command, it slows right back down. 😵 Is there anything else I might need to "fix"? I downloaded a temp checker and everything looks totally fine. 🙂

Tried that second one too—nothing. Total bust. As for the first program, I grabbed both the ISO and the USB versions, but when I boot from the USB, it only gives me the option to check the F drive. It doesn't even show the memory test like it does in those YouTube videos! Do I seriously have to burn the ISO to a disc first just to get it to work?

Lately, I've been getting this annoying error where my screen just goes totally blue and my laptop (Dell Latitude running Windows 7 Professional) force-restarts itself. It happened again yesterday, but this time it's stuck in a loop—it boots up, the screen turns blue, and boom, back to square one. I managed to get it into Safe Mode, but now I'm staring at this error: NETIO.SYS PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
Any idea how to fix this? ☕

My period is never really on schedule anyway—sometimes it hits at 29 days, sometimes 33—but this time it was 45 days late before finally showing up. I dealt with a kidney infection at the start of the month and was on antibiotics, but even after finishing them, it still stung when I peed, even though my culture came back clean. My doctor still has me taking Ninur since I had swelling and E.coli in my urine before. Then, mid-month, I started getting this mild breast pain, just passing through, and the doc said my mammary glands were a bit swollen and offered to send me for an ultrasound in early June if I wanted. That little ache pops up in my left side sometimes and the right side other times, plus I noticed some slight inflammation around the nipple on the right one, like the areolas are a bit irritated. Now I’m kicking myself for forgetting to mention it to my OBGYN when I went in for the late period checkup. Should I be worried about my breasts? I don't feel any lumps or anything; my GP checked me out and just said the glands were swollen. I'm 25. I'm heading out of the US for a two-week trip now, so this is totally stressing me out.

Finally grabbed some white pants three years ago instead of jeans and honestly? Obsessed. I always have that annoying issue where my pants either stretch out like crazy or start splitting right at the crotch, but these things are solid—still fit perfect after all this time. I actually just needed white bottoms and stumbled onto these by accident (and hey, if you care, they even let you use their restroom to try them on), but I'm so glad I did! 🙂

Open to any advice. For workouts, I mostly did the elliptical and Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, but now I'm finishing up week 4 of P90X. Diet-wise, I eat clean as much as possible—mostly home-cooked stuff, tons of veggies, chicken, and fish—but I hit a candy bar at least once a week or I'd lose my mind. 😍

Apparently, they sued me way back in 2007 when I wasn't even 18 yet. Now they're claiming I dodged the bill and they're coming for everything, including interest totaling $667 plus court fees, more interest, and that monthly payment of $333. I've only got 8 days to file an appeal. Is it even worth fighting this? Back then, I was a minor, so my mom signed the contract, not me. Since then, all I've heard is that I owe court costs of $67, and then this past summer I got a demand for 200 plus $33 which I already paid. Does anyone know what the statute of limitations is for something like this?

This summer, I got hit with a notice saying I owed $200 plus $33 or face seizure, so I just paid it immediately via my app to make it go away. Now this happens. I'm freaking out, spiraling, trying to figure it all out. It's too late to head down to the IRS office and the bank won't give me any straight answers—all they say is what I already told you. Got a question. A few months back, I picked up a laptop without an OS, and my friend's dad took it over to some local computer shop—won't name names—to get it sorted. It all kicked off on July 29th when this girl from the forum was sending me some clothes. Bad timing because I headed out to the coast for a month and totally forgot to give her a heads-up. She sent it via certified mail, and we both assumed it’d be returned to her address by the time I got back from vacation. I rolled back into town on August 25th, but there was zero notice at the USPS, and she still hadn't gotten the package back. When I hit up the post office, they told me they never even received it—like, nothing had been sent to my address for over a month. Turns out, she filed a claim in her city, and they found out someone actually signed for and snatched the package on August 1st. It's just me and my mom at my place, and we were both away at the beach on the same dates, plus nobody else in our building ever signs for stuff for other people. A few days later, the girl sends me a photo of the official document showing the signature... and it's freaking identical to mine!!! 😲
I was absolutely floored! I mean, one letter looks slightly tilted, but it is definitely my signature! Then, on Monday, this girl sends me some lipstick via certified mail, and somehow the package ends up just sitting in my mailbox—I grabbed it without anyone signing for anything, so I guess someone is still out there forging my name. I went down to the post office and they actually called me in for an interview... I've never dealt with the USPS like this and have no clue what to do next. Anyone got advice? I don't know why someone would do this. Honestly, in two years of ordering stuff constantly, only two things from eBay haven't shown up, which I didn't think was their fault, but this was certified mail... I want to make life difficult for whoever is doing this. Maybe they think they're being helpful or whatever, but seriously, having someone rip off my signature is insane 😕

Furthermore, trying to taper clothing at a tailor often just distorts the entire silhouette. There was a period in my life where, due to health issues, I was forced to have my clothes taken in—including my jeans—and the results were an absolute catastrophe. No matter how skilled the tailor was, the structural integrity was ruined. I’m just thankful to God that that chapter is behind me and my health has stabilized.🙂

And styling them won't be an issue at all—you could pair them with yellow tops, white tees, graphic prints, a boyfriend blazer, or even some solid-colored sweaters.
