How do I quote someone?
Just write:

You'll have to manually type out the Nick of the person you're quoting right before the quote itself. When you hit the automatic quote button (it's at the bottom of every post), the forum generates a format like this:

That stays stuck inside a massive quote block because once you highlight and quote specific snippets, you inevitably forget to delete the giant container that pops up when you hit that quote button at the bottom of a post.

So, you should probably just wipe out that first quote tag before you start typing your reply. Of course, if you do that, you lose the username of the person you're replying to and the link back to their original post. Personally, I always take the shortcut: I just manually cut out...

It seems my formatting has gone completely sideways; everything—from my own commentary down to those smaller nested quotes—is getting swallowed up by one massive, oversized quote block at the end of the post. It makes sense, I suppose, given that my own remarks are nested within the primary quote block... wouldn't you agree?
I feel as though I am missing a crucial step in my process, or perhaps there is a fundamental flaw in my approach that remains stubbornly out of reach, yet despite my efforts, the error eludes everyone's perception.🤷
Everyone keeps telling me the same thing: highlight the text, hit the icon, leave a comment. So, I follow the instructions to the letter, but when you look at the actual results... well, the outcome speaks for itself.
Something isn't quite clicking, so I would appreciate it if someone with a bit of patience could take a look at my task list and help me pinpoint exactly where my logic is faltering.🙂

; I write my comment after that quote block at the end; I highlight another section; hit the icon again; and write another comment after that quote...

Is this doing it right?
