There wouldn't have been any room to overtake... I guess the only upside to your way of doing things is that you stretched out the straightaway, which might actually satisfy someone who's always complaining about the current track layout.

Look, if the diffuser doesn't make a huge difference in the rain—even though it's supposed to—it still shows the car is built killer for wet conditions. Adding the diffuser could just help manage the airflow in any situation... because you'd get way more out of it during dry races when speeds are higher and that air displacement really kicks in. That would basically mean the car is a beast in all conditions... not that the car isn't already insane on the dry!
