Weight loss belts: Do they actually work? in Health ·
I’ll let you in on a little secret, but you gotta promise not to tell anyone:
maybe, if you’d just stop eating so much!!!
Ugh... but those belts of yours though...

Henry Garcia10 said:Yeah, I did😍. But not with the meds—they didn't do squat for me.

Then what? 😕 Some kind of alternative thing?

Henry Garcia10 said:Look, there’s no point in him recommending stuff or defending what he said—everyone reacts differently, I guess. Like, fried food actually worked for me sometimes, and most dairy was fine too, but then some of those soups he suggested gave me insane heartburn... again.
As for coffee, I don't know since I never drink it, and alcohol never really bothered me, though I rarely touch it. Only milk helped the pain for maybe ten minutes before making everything feel way worse. First time hearing about chocolate being an issue, too.
Just gotta cut everything out until that ulcer heals.😬
There's this nasty cabbage juice—honestly tastes disgusting—but man, it actually works.
If you were prescribed a course of Nexium or similar, take them religiously (the full dose, not just "whenever you feel like it") and make sure you take breaks between cycles, otherwise you're gonna wreck your liver.
Just need a little discipline with your diet and keeping your head straight, then you'll be fine.🙂

Well, I got hit with the triple threat: Nexium for my stomach plus two antibiotics for Heliobacter. Did you actually manage to clear up your ulcer?

So, title says it all—I've got a stomach ulcer, so I'm looking for some diet advice since my doctor barely gave me anything useful besides the usual "avoid fried, spicy, and salty stuff" lecture. Basically, what should I be eating more of, what's off-limits, and what's a total no-go? My doc mentioned cutting out alcohol, coffee, and cigarettes, but out of those three, I'm only struggling with 😬—so I'm wondering, does this mean I'm stuck abstaining from 😲 forever
? Also, milk—some people swear it helps the stomach, while others say it's bad, so I'm pretty lost there.
And chocolate—how much of a problem is it in this situation? (I can't exactly quit cold turkey, I'm kind of hooked 😢).
Anything else you guys know that's actually helpful or just plain bad...

driftinggull13 said:The one I quoted earlier. Honestly, I don't even know if you actually get what I'm saying when you say you do. You agree with everything else, then suddenly claim three liters is too much. How do you even know it's too much? If he's a bodybuilder, it definitely isn't—and even if he were just some average guy exercising moderately, it still wouldn't be too much. Anyway, I think we both know what we meant, so I'm done arguing about this.🙂

Three liters is way too much, seriously. Milk is high in protein, and when your body tries to absorb that massive amount of protein all at once, it actually pulls calcium out of your bones. So milk basically does the exact opposite of what the commercials claim—it doesn't give us calcium, it strips it away. That’s why we have this weird paradox in the American diet today—we're drinking more milk than ever, yet osteoporosis rates are through the roof.
