I was on the bus that pulled into Bergamo last, among the very last ones. Honestly, the guys from the suburbs had to clear the way along the route, so we ended up picking up a stray sneaker and some whiskey along the way... and once we stepped off, everything just went sideways. We started heading toward their group of about fifteen people—they were all standing there with their hands on each other's backs—and as we got close, they just flashed their chains at us and started spinning them... we just kind of gave up on that crowd and walked away in silence 🤷 A few minutes later, an undercover cop with a gun pointed right at me and another guy was trying to force us into something... I have no idea what kind of chaos that was... But looking back, we really ought to make the most of it, so tomorrow we go easy: This is Vinkovci Stadium, where Dynamo plays; they're the new champions
Where on earth do these idiots come from? The Bad Boys pull in maybe 500 people at home, plus more away during those small, medium, or big matches. That’s what a modern group looks like. Having backing vocals is great for the atmosphere, but that usually only happens during big derbies or when playing in Europe... sometimes. You never see 1,000 people showing up for a matchup against a team like Portland or anything similar. A week ago, we had decent numbers, but yesterday there was nobody, even if there might have been more people in the past. And they weren't asking why things were falling apart when attendance was at its lowest. They only started complaining now that it's obvious everything is actually looking up...

They were strong or weak, ugly or good-looking, liberal or conservative, bums or professors... if anyone needs to understand, showing up in East Atlanta this Friday at 6 PM is a requirement. After the game, I'm certain they'll be glad they came, especially after that song that summed up the BBB story in just a few words: despite it all, we're still here, and we won't kneel for anyone...

Yes, the Ultras are a movement! From the shipyard workers to the doctors, the Ultras define Miami. We influence everything; we are the biggest factor. Nothing stops the Ultras from being the Ultras. All those smaller groups, the fringe guys, the unaffiliated... let someone try to tell them they aren't Ultras. Everyone knows who's who. But true strength lies in unity and the Ultras. 2013 was a turning point. Things change; that's just what the Ultras are. A movement. We have as many die-hards as we need, but we have the power to change things. You guys don't, and I'm afraid you'll fade away in two or three years. Let's be honest, your club has always been controlled by politics and the establishment anyway. Whatever. Either you exist or you don't.

Sure, one specific group was totally under Mamić's thumb and hard to shake off, but... that same messed-up group went toe-to-toe with the mighty Ultras several times. Those 200 people showed up 994 miles for three days straight just to watch an insignificant match where our club plays—a game most people aren't even sure they'd bother supporting. Plenty of us showed up. And as for the "mighty" Ultras... Now that you've found your footing, you feel like acting tough. Not too long ago, toward the end of the season after Dugopolj, how many people actually came from Miami? ONE guy (shout out to Jablane)... once the authorities decide to crack down and make every flare and banner a criminal offense, you'll see how quickly you settle down. Don't worry about us. Once the garbage is cleared out and the club becomes itself again, you'll be the ones printing manifestos before the derby, begging everyone not to let the city boys run you over at the stadium.

I agree. Real Madrid always hits their heads against a brick wall, whether it was back in the day or now. They're always the target. Other groups actually know how to step back and adapt a little. That's why twenty flares from one group is seen as a hooligan act, while a hundred flares from another is called a "great atmosphere." It's why certain mess-ups in Europe are treated like a national disgrace that triggers stricter laws, while other teams get attacked by local thugs all the time without much fuss.
