Cystoscopy: What to expect? in Health ·
Honestly, looking at it from a guy's perspective... yeah, women definitely have it easier here. Purely anatomical stuff, really—plus, as weird as it sounds to some people, they just seem to handle pain way better than we do.
For me? It was brutal. I was seriously screaming my head off, though I know some people don't feel much at all. I guess it just comes down to how sensitive you are and if you actually prepped right.
The whole setup felt like I was heading straight into a torture chamber. They had me lie down, spread my legs, and basically tie me down so I couldn't move an inch. Right next to me sat this table covered in tools—honestly looked like something out of a medieval Inquisition set or a movie like "Hostel"—with things like surgical shears, pliers, rubber tubing, coiled wires, and these thin metal rods that looked like umbrella ribs. And then they were shoving all that through my anatomy while the nurse held me steady with medical scissors just so I wouldn't flinch. I have to go back tomorrow, and let me tell you, I am not exactly thrilled about it.
But hey, a job's a job, right? Gotta do what you gotta do.
